Game was painful viewing for me but it is a privilege to watch Dupont, who may well be the GOAT. May well be? An extraordinary player. I can't think of anyone with so complete a set of skills. A mate of mine in Paris has met him a couple of times. Says he's the quietest, shyest individual off the field.

Last season I had ST for the men's team and the women's team. If the App does replace the card it will only be for Stamford Bridge; a card will be still required for Kingsmeadow. I've just renewed. Same seat unfortunately, can only move if I have a medical condition and can provide proof. Can't be arsed f**king around with it, I'll just have to get on with it ! Was on the site from 9am , after waking from a ridiculous dream that tickets were allocated according to how much a fan weighed !

Always leave it late as possible. Doesn't seem right to me giving people less than two weeks to renews. Bloody daft that you can't move unless you have a medical condition. Sometimes people just want to move. Three people I know had season tickets in the Matthew Harding Upper moved to the Shed Upper at the start of last season. None of them has a medical condition; they just wanted a "change of scenery". And moving isn't going to result in paying less to the club; in fact it could mean paying more. Am looking forward to the day when I get my ST at half price!

I think the site said that due to time shortage you can't request a move without a medical condition. The shortage of time is down to the club FFS. We'll all end up with a medical condition if we keep standing in our old age ! And correct, I would have paid more if I could have moved to West Lower. I know someone with 2 west tickets so I might try and arrange something with him if he renews them both.. Anyway , we might be sleeping instead of standing if some reports of Enzo's tactics are true ! Take care mate

I wonder what the next surprise from the board will be. You can only renew your ST if you spend a minimum in the ground at each match. That would rule me out. I visit the club shop about once a year; rarely buy a programme and hardly buy any food or drink as it's expensive and poor quality. I'm becoming more and more cynical in my old age. As you say, we'll all end up with a medical condition with all the standing. As mentioned before I know a few people who are ST holders in the Shed Upper - the youngest is coming up to 60 and the eldest is 72 - and they hate having to stand. Hope you are successful with trying to arrange something with someone you know in the West Lower. Take care mate.
June 3, 20242 yr The fact that all these conditions to get a ST is a good thing no? Means there is still more demand over supply. As long as we keep filling the stadium even in these darkish times shows that we have a loyal fanbase.

If only we lived in America, the club and the doctor would be terrified of getting sued for not granting a move !

It would be interesting to know how many fans apply to move each season. Excluding those who move who move from the Family Section as they are too old I suspect it's not a lot but could be wrong. There is ten of us who go to the games together. Some in the Matthew Harding Upper; some in the West Lower; and others in the Shed Upper. If the ground is ever rebuilt we plan to sit together. When is another matter!

If I was a lot younger I may consider but now that I'm an old git! I wonder if the club is legally allowed to implement such a rule. Guess it's too late to challenge. I was at an airshow on Sunday and stood for about five hours. Did move around a bit but was surprised that my legs held up. Must have been a one-off. I'm going to see if I can get a seat at Kingsmeadow for the women's team. Had a standing ST last season and occasionally my legs played up.

There should be an old codger section, blankets provided to drape over our legs at no extra cost. They will be sticking the Chelsea Pensioners in the Shed Upper safe standing if it's not stopped. 😂 Edited June 4, 20242 yr by The Rising Sun Info

During summer, wine, cider and gin and tonic. Or what ever your choice of tipple is. I can remember loads of single malt whiskies.

We’re looking to move to the North Stand, my old man struggles to stand if we can’t find somewhere to lean and people are pretty selfish in the amount of space they take up in the south stand. We had a family spread out with bags etc. once who refused to close in so an old man could lean on the bars until, of course, their mates all turned up and suddenly there was more room.

I hope to move to either the North or West Stands. Usually I can find a post or bar to lean against but not always and my right knee does play up. I know what you mean about people taking up lots of space. There is a couple of people who reserve spots behind the goal by leaving notes and then bugger off to the bar. I spent the last few days visiting family up in Scotland and yesterday me and two of my cousins who are ST holders at Rangers visited the Rangers Museum - which is very good - and had a wander around Ibrox. Now that is a superb stadium, probably the best in the U.K. I am of course biased. If Stamford Bridge is ever re-developed it would be great if Ibrox is used as a template.
June 12, 20242 yr Well behind the curve and watching All or Nothing- Spurs under Jose from a few years back. Fantastic stadium which cost according to the internet 1.2 Billion. It gets used for various non football activities such as NFL- Spurs, once again according to the internet- Wikipedia- are Europe’s most indebted club to the tune of 1.17 Billion. The cost of the stadium give or take. They are also known to be comparatively stingy- lowest wages in the old top 6 and Levy tough negotiator. Point being, all for bigger stadium, so better chance of fans watching the team, but can’t for the life of me see how it makes financial sense.

On top of whatever the NFL pays them, they pocket every penny spent on food, drink, hospitality boxes, etc, on the day. Just as when they hosted the Rugby Premiership final last weekend with 61,000 in attendance. They're sitting on a gold mine.

Devils advocate a trifle….Wembley, Twickenham, Spurs, West Ham, all vying for non football pay days. Should we go big and redevelop we are entering a very complétive market. In terms of hoovering up match day food and drink expenditure- Tottenham is a total sh*thole- always has been, always will be. Very little outside the ground options- unlike us who despite recent pub/ restaurant closures, still have by far the most licensed premises on our doorstep than any other club.

We beat every one of those on location. Every major artist would rather perform in Chelsea than Stratford or Wembley.

I read that the local residents association have, since the original stadium plan was permitted , got organised, are very vocal, and well funded (whatever that means). It'll take a long time to get a stadium plan in place, and then to have it approved will take more time And the local council has to grant a licence for any event we hold. It's going to be a long long time before we ever have a money making stadium, ( if ever) so we have to use our income wisely for years to come.
