I'd forgotten about the 5 year season ticket. I moved to the MHU from the West Stand in 1997 the year after it opened. I can't remember how much I paid for it but have renewed it on a season by season basis. My seat is just to the right of the goal as you look from the stand and like you I'd be miffed if I had to pay for more because of where I sit.

As I mentioned above the cost of paying more because of where you sit came up in the recent Chelsea Supporters Trust. The lady who raised the issue made an excellent point that it could result in people who have sat together for years having to sit apart. I doubt if the club understands that people have been sitting together for years.

Have I got that right? It seems a random way of limiting spending.

Having a bigger stadium isn't to help with FFP. It's to boost our revenues and therefore our value. 

Without a new stadium I'm pretty certain Clearlake will be heading to a monumental loss on their investment.

Yeah I can see that as a reason to be fair.

But it's going to cost them about £2 billion. But yes, it'll increase the value

When we bought the ticket my older daughter hadn't been born, she got married last year and had two tables full of MHU ST holders!

Quite. Tottenham rake in £100m annually from their match-day takings.

Matchday revenue is considered as operational revenue for FFP.

More importantly is that they now earn more in commercial revenue than us. That is because of the stadium.

But they are having to repay the loans to build the stadium.

Last time I looked it was  £37 million a year till 2042 .

I believe they may have refinanced the loan since then , but whatever they do it has to be repayed.

Aren't we looking at over a £1 billion?

If we are falling behind because of our stadium,. then we need to do some about it NOW because we won't have a bigger stadium for years.

Former chairman of CPO, Charles Rose, was interviewed on Kieran Maguire's excellent podcast The Price of Football. He had much the same to say about Bates.

Ken Bates certainly let us know what he was doing and why.

in his weekly programme notes he gave his opinion on the stadium , us fans ,

even the players diets and behaviour got mentioned .

we might not have agreed with him , but we was never kept in the dark.

i still think he was great for us and the cpo is more important than ever.

everyone should buy a share or buy a grandchild a share.

Think the club are putting info on renewals on Monday 3rd June. Is it going to be a ticket on the phone via their app ?

I'd prefer a card , my phone is ancient!

Haven't been a member for like 3 seasons. Never been a ST holder. What are the chances of me being able to obtain a ST next season?

There was a test of using an app on the phone but I haven't seen anything about how it went. Perhaps there will be mention on Monday.

Hi mate , you need to be a member from last season and then have enough points to get a season ticket this season. The points needed varies each season.

If you know someone with a membership you could get them to apply in their name. The club allows you to relinquish the season ticket to someone else, think they have to be s member, not sure .

If you know someone who has a season ticket and they are thinking of not renewing, get them to renew and relinquish it to you. It's easy to do and the club allows it.

Unless they've changed it, but it was that way 2 years ago.

I kept getting emails that I needed to register on the app followed by messages that I had registered successfully. Then a few days later it all starts again. 

Dunno what we're going be watching this season. Saw a bit in the Leicester Mercury after they won a game 4-0 to go 11 points clear that Enzo M had to fend off fan criticism of the way they play !

I'll check but I think I got emails about registering for the app. Will go through my emails. Last season I had ST for the men's team and the women's team. If the App does replace the card it will only be for Stamford Bridge; a card will be still required for Kingsmeadow.

Plenty of coverage here (I live in Leinster) and all the commentators were saying it was the best stadium they had ever been in. Feckin' Sp***.

Game was painful viewing for me but it is a privilege to watch Dupont, who may well be the GOAT.
