I would like to send a special thanks out to a user on here (MACTHEKNIFE) for enquiring about my spare ticket for Sunderland and asking for a price as he lives in Newcastle at the moment. me being an honest fella offered it him for face value. I would just like to say a big thanks for not even bothering to reply to my email. I don't care if u don't want the ticket but at least let me know so I can give it to somebody else!!! Maybe he didn't have access to the internet... Maybe he's been in an accident... Maybe he got a ticket elsewhere.... Either way, holding a ticket because of one PM and then posting a new thread to whine about it is pretty stupid. Especially on a forum that generally doesn't condone/support selling of tickets unless it is between regulars.

I agree and I should have done this.

I have tried to sell tickets in the past, but I don't hold them for somebody just when they enquire about them without concretely saying they would take them.

I am still in the wrong and I should have given a simple no.

Well mac's apologised and accepted he was probably in the wrong so I'd rather just let this thread die quietly.

Ok I started this so ill finish it. For a start mac was right in a way, the full story was I wanted £25 for the ticket as I've paid for the coach as well and wanted to get my money back. I don't think that's out of order. Also if I had sold the ticket without a reply from him and then he emails me the next day wanting the ticket then I'd have been wrong for selling it without him replying. Also the reason I put it on as a thread was to get his attention with as you can all see it bloody worked. Anyway, enough said, he's apologised so let's get on with cheering the blues tonite!!!!!!

By the way if anybody wants a ticket for Sunderland cup game I have a spare.............

I should have just said No in a message.I saw it a few days late and assumed I couldn't get in time. I should have just said this. I honestly assumed you would have been sourcing more people to sell to than just me for an initial enquiry. I understand why you would have wanted the coach fare money, and despite it being only £10, as I didn't need it, I didn't want that ticket. As it turns out I can't go anyway as I have work tonight.

I'm sorry if you felt a bit screwed over and I didn't act well by not responding, like I and others have said a simple no would have been suffice.

I think we have both learnt from this, I should have just told you straight up when I saw the message, even if I thought it was too late. Plus you should have looked for alternative buyers and if you had sold it by the time I replied, the buyer can't be offended with that as I never said concretely I would buy it.

I'll be catching the second half in a pub in Newcastle after work, gutted I can't be there, but that's life.

Think it should be a good game with plenty of goals like the other week. Come on Chelsea!
