Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Where does Koke play as in what's his natural position?

Centre mid is his preferred role as far as I'm aware, although he is extremely versatile.

Cool, just that when I've seen them he has been played wide, in the middle and further forward.

Could be something we are looking at since we need someone else in this area IMO and he could be what Lamps used to be back in the day?

Would cost though and if that were to happen I'd imagine the keeper would almost certainly be part of that deal.

He ain't a player like Lamps, far more creative but makes less goals. In combination with Diego Costa he's unstoppable, seems to be able to find Costa even when he's blindfolded

Could develop into that sort though eh? especially if hes as verastile as it seems.

Probably a long shot though as no doubt those two combined would cost us our whole season budget and then some.

Probably looking at a 60-70 million bill in Euros then, so would be 50-60 million pounds for the two of those. Maybe less if you give Atleti their Torres back, and let them keep Courtois, thought the last one would be a shame.

Edit: Completing to Plokoon, he's originally a 8 (left inside midfielder) in a 4-3-3 system, but not the kind of player like Matic who could play there as well. Not sure if 4-2-3-1 of Chelsea suits Koke as one of the two midfielders he would be to far from the goal, the 10 position can't give him the chance to play between the lines and he would be overdefended by an opponent and as a winger he lacks speed, dribbling and 1 on 1 creativity. You can compare him with a player like Modric I guess.

---------Courtois----------

Ivan---Terry---Cahill---Dave

--------Matic----Koke-------

Willian------Oscar-----Hazard

------------Costa-------------

That would be damn beautiful.

Would be very happy to see us bid for Koke in the summer. Quality on the ball, fantastic range of passing and is a team player who works his socks off. Be very happy to do a Torres + £5-10M for him. Costa I'm still not convinced about, think Cavani would suit our system better but all depends on what deals can be done.

Also think it's imperative we try and remove Courtois from any business deals. As fantastic as Cech's been for us all season he might not have too many years left in the tank and quaity young goalkeepers are not easy to come by.

Their playstyles are so similar. Why do you think Cavani would suit us better?

Costa > Cavani, Costa brings us energy and workrate + goals, Cavani's only quality is being clinical. Costa is a game changer

hes not a jerk, hes just . . . misunderstood

Wow!! How he could take that nut shot at 1:14 and then be that friendly with the player afterwards like nothing happened... not jerkish in the slightest. I just think he is incredibly passionate about the game. We need a forward like that and I hope we do land him!

Chelsea have decided that Diego Costa is their first-choice transfer target this summer and have opened negotiations to sign the Atletico Madrid striker, according to reports.

The Blues are widely expected to bring in a big-name striker this summer and have settled on Costa.

They have now begun putting plans in place to secure his £35m signing. Negotiations between third-party agents have already begun as Chelsea aim to thrash out a deal, the Daily Express claims.

Costa, aged 25, has 31 goal in 41 games so far this season, helping his club to the top of the La Liga table and the quarter-finals of the Champions League in the process.

Manager Jose Mourinho wants to tie-up the deal before the Brazilian-born Spain international has the opportunity to push his asking price up even further at this summer’s World Cup.

Seems to piss off defenders but not sure how many of his antics will go down well in england. If at Chelsea media will be up his ass pretty quick and soon wnough the referees will be onto his tricks.

I want him at Chelsea. I like the aggression. He bullies the defenders physically and it reminds me of that man Drogba in a way.

I'd rather have Cavani as well, but I definitely wouldn't complain if we got Costa instead! Also, his price will probably be a bit lower than Cavani's

Are you serious? You know absolutely nothing about Cavani if you think he has no work rate. The man is the hardest working CF in the world rivaled only by Rooney.

Why is there such a reluctance to go with Lukaku for next year? He fits everything we need: he's strong, an aerial threat, a good finisher, has top work ethic, he's a proven goal scorer in the premier league and best yet, we already have him! It would be a shame if we didn't give him a shot..

Costa looks like a bag of sh*t compared to Ronaldo in that pic lol
