Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

I wonder how feels having Falcao in the league. I'm fairly sure that it will drive him to score more goals and out perform him.

That was my first thoughts when I saw he has signed for Utd, Costa will want to show he's stepped out from Falcao's shadow and he's the big man now.

I can see the reasoning for trying to wind him up but I think it hasn't worked so far for three reasons:

1) Costa is far better at winding up people than whoever trying to wind him up is.

2) If you do manage to wind up Costa he only works harder and plays better.

3) The opponent becomes so engulfed in this personal feud with Costa that he doesn't focus on defending.

Awesome, right?

4) The opponent accidentally puts in an own goal.

That said there will come a time where Costa will overstep the line and I hope that we Chelsea fans will not condone or encourage that behaviour.

I agree, and it's something i have feared before he even joined us.

I don't mind the stuff that went on with Coleman and Howard because he wasn't doing anything wrong. But if he starts throwing his fists around and starts headbutting then i won't be sticking up for him.

Agree 100%- I just hope he approaches every game the same way. Keep in mind we were 2-0 or 2-1 up at the time; would Costa be the "lovable rogue" if the scores were reversed?

I think he has to be carful bearing in mind they were two youngsters winding him up at Everton. A more seasoned pro will be better at it without getting in trouble but getting a reaction. I'm sure his teammates plus learning the the language will help his response on the pitch, be more verbal than physical.

Zouma linked up with the Blues after a six-month loan deal back at Saint Etienne this summer.

And after jetting out to link up with the French national team, Zouma has lifted the lid on his early impressions of life at Stamford Bridge.

He told L'Equipe: "Diego Costa is very, very crazy. Sometimes he gives me a slap across the head and tells me: 'Go'.

"Ivanovic makes a lot of jokes too.

"Afterwards the group laugh a little about my age because, well, I'm a big man for 19-years-old.

"Even the coach when we were going for the blood test jokingly said, 'Here, now we'll see if you lied about your age'.

"But really they're cool, easy

Zouma also admitted that he is still a little bit overawed by his new teammates and the speed of the Premier League.

He added: "They are great players that you are used to seeing on TV, taking on Playstation.

"I said almost from the outset that I can't really approach them.

"When you are on the field you think, 'Wow! That's how to play football'.

"It goes fast, very fast. The match against Everton was crazy.

"When they told me to warm up, I went so fast. It is very exciting and I was almost too keen."

You mean like if he puts the head in on loud mouth managers like Pardew, no we could never condone it,

split our sides laughing at it, but condone it, never. :happy001:

He gt 85 rating on FIfa 15 wtf.. I expected a minimum of 86. Even Cavani got 86.

Well that's that then. He's crap. Get rid.

No doubt will be upped to a 86/87 on match day live.

It seems Mourinho does like his jokes about players age.

It seems Mourinho does like his jokes about players age.

Hope he doesn't make a 'joke' about our beloved Diego or our season could go tits up.

I'm sure he came out the womb with 6 o'clock shadow.

Haha I bet he was one hell of a scary looking kid

I'd be scared sh*tless attempting to ground him!!
