When i was watching a stream on vipleague the Arsenal fans were trying so hard to make out that Costa was crap. Every goal he scored made them look more and more stupid.

Before he played for Chelsea and this thread was in the rumours section of the forum it was actually astonishing how many Chelsea fans were against this transfer.

 

What a perfect start for him at Chelsea though. He's not going to keep up this goal scoring ratio but by god he looks like he's going to be a fantastic addition to the team.

Huge test for Diego will be if he can deliver against Manchester City. If he puts one or two past them then the momentum behind him is going to be insane and will have every back-four in the league cacking themselves when they see him coming.

I'll hold my hands up, I was one of them, I preferred Balotelli over him to be honest, but it's good to see he has fit right into this side.

I'm just sooo happy to see a regular striker, "real" striker who scores goals for us game in game out. We suffered so much previous seasons is time to shine now

It will be very interesting to see how he goes against City and whether he's capable of influencing the big games to the same degree of the likes of Aguero and Suarez, so far he has been brilliant.

The lad raised the expectations very high indeed. Hope he scores against City so everyone can finally shut up about him scoring only against small teams.

Definitely happy to be wrong on this one! Hope costa keeps it up, as with him in this mood we are serious contenders in every competition.

A hat trick and didn't even get a yellow card, an outstanding day out. The only concern is he set the standard so high, if he has 2 goal less games, the critics will jump all over him.

I wasn't astonished tbh. It got worse when he didn't fire in the world cup. All it will take is for a few bad games and some petulant behaviour(and of course if Falcao starts scoring a few) for the usual suspects to declare 'we should have gone for Falcao,Cavani etc
