Christensen would very much suit what Conte seemingly likes from his CB's so I very much hope this turns out to be a nothing rumour or if it isn't that we are inserting a buy back clause which isnt much higher than what we are selling for.

I would assume you would be open to a legal case for breach of contract unless a compensation fee can be agreed between the two parties. Even so, the legal case would likely just result in a monetary reward to BM anyway. Basically, it would cost us money.

I think it was a condition of him signing his 5 yr deal that he had a two year loan somewhere. It would be biting our own hand to renege on the deal unless we had a guarantee of starting in the first eleven.

i think Conte will have to look at him.  He's too good not to.  However, I think BM have another year to keep him and I doubt we'll break that agreement.  Especially if rumours are true that Conte is wanting to bring a couple of his own defenders in.

I will be very surprised if the contract wont have some sort of a call-back clause. Sure we would have to pay to call him back. But would not that be better than splurging 40 mil pounds on the likes of Stones?
