I find him so similar to Fabregas in so many ways but I don't knw why Fabregas been favourite more than him?!

Tell me guys how they different from each other n how they similar? and how Fabregas fitted more in our style more than Mata?

We definitely missed him in the second part of last season, Oscar just doesn't have the creativity. Now we have Cesc, doubt we could find a spot for Mata even if we get rid of Oscar.

Mourinho seems to have identified what was missing from last season very well, there is no reason for me to imagine that he got the Mata decision wrong when you think about the money concerned.

 

Oscar has been given a totally different role here by Jose and it's a role that Mata couldn't play the way the manager wanted him to, Oscar could look a far more threatening attacking option if he didn't follow the managers instructions but then he'd likely follow Juan out the door.

 

We have great options in midfield and casting my eye over to UTD with any feelings of regret when I see the difference players Jose has chosen have made is something I won't be doing even if they did look good against QPR.

At the rate it's going, RVP should be the fall guy at United. It looks like the injury last season may have been the one that caught up with him as he looks a lot less agile than he used to be.

Mata and Falcao could form a great partnership for United, though it won't be a scratch on Costa and Fabregas.

I know this was only a joke but I reckon Mata might be sold by United in January. 

 

12 months on and Juan finds himself in the same position he was at with Chelsea... In that the manager is preferring others for their overall contributions as apposed to being more naturally talented. 

Yeah United don't need him (They didn't when they bought him either).

They are obviously going to spend big on Midfielders and defenders in Jan so selling Mata will be useful.

I think he could well go back to Spain. I cant see anyone paying out the kind of money that United would want for him. I can see him being loaned out.

I would think they will get around the £20m mark, £25m at most. 

I think its a bit soon to say he's out of favor at United. He came on last match and won the game for them. LVG is bit of a weird one. Players can quickly go in and out of favour for him I think. He took Di Maria off who's been poor recently and had some less than flattering words for him. Januzaj and RVP have certainly been worse than him. I'm sure Mata will get plenty of minutes befoore January and we know he can deliver.

Won't come back here because he's not good enough for a top team. Always thought he'd end up back at Valencia where he'll have a nice career, pick up a Europa League medal and have a couple of purple patches.

My view about Mata has always been the same. Great player whom you need to build the team around to get the best out of, but he's not a good enough player to win you the league if you do that. He's a great option for a third or fourth place team which is why I could see him going back to Valencia for about £20 million.

Players who were integral to three previous league wins. I think the more pertinent question is 'what's your point?'. 

 

If you disagree with the other points I made then go for it. Mata to me is something of a luxury player and that might win you the occasional cup but I don't think you can make sacrifices to include him in a team on a weekly basis and expect to win the league.

We dont need the guy, despite his qualities. I feel a little sorry for him being passed around clubs that don't suit him. I would love for him to do well at a club abroad
