Chelsea vs Manchester United (PL) 18/04/2015 KO: 17:30 GMT

Now this one is going to be interesting.

United will be buoyed by their wins over both Liverpool and Manchester City but I think we're a different kettle of fish to deal with. According to Jose we should have Remy back for this one and he should start but the lack of Costa (lucky United, again!) plays to United's favor. It's actually really hard to call this one so I'm going to be diplomatic (or pragmatic) and go for a draw here and for us to go on and beat Arsenal at the Emirates. A draw here isn't a disaster and I would honestly take a point from a resurgent and in-form United side who seem to have finally clicked under Louis Van Gaal.

2-2

Hazard x2 / Rooney, Mata

Edited by Izanagi

Carrick looks doubtful - walked straight off pitch

Don't buy that Van Gaal winning touch has arrived all he's

done is stop his unfathomable rotation & tactics and suss out the best 11 & formation & stick with it

Let's take the wind out of their sails please.

Like to re-iterate that I'd take a draw here if offer if only for us to win the league at the Emirates in front of the Specialist in Failure and for Cesc to finally win the league in England in front of a stadium of Arsenal fans.

That would be f**king hysterical.

Some may disagree with me here but this is a must win game...for Man United not for us. A must win game for them if they harbor ambition to knock us off top spot.

Why is it a must win game for them and not for us you may ask? Currently United sit 8 points behind us having played a game more, and have 6 matches left this season. A maximum points tally of 18.

If United fail to beat us at the Bridge, such as the scoreline suggested by Izanagi, then the gap stays at 8 points, and they have 15 left to play for, while we still have one extra game.

Think about it, 8 point gap. Even if we were to lose that game in hand United would still need to win all of their remaining games, including beating Arsenal to make sure they move ahead of them as well, and, in addition to us losing that game in hand we would need to lose another 3 games as well as United finishing with a perfect record.

So yeah we do not have to win this one. Just like our trip to Arsenal we just have to make sure we do not lose. Pressure is on them to win it, a rare position for us.

That being said though I think we can win it and if we do and go 11 clear of United then it is truly game over for their title chances. Putting Arsenal 10 behind with both sides having 18 points left to play for after that stage would also make it very, very hard for them as well.

Oscar to score 4 goals. Hazard penalty

Mata with a brace rooney FK

5-3

I do not know what is most unlikely in that prediction, that Oscar could manage to score 4 goals after looking nowhere near a goal scorer of late or that we manage to get a pen against Man United...you know I think it would be the pen lol.

We will need to play far better than we did today to get anything from this match.

A great result for us but we were terrible if we are being honest with ourselves, I don't think any team has managed just 1 shot on target against QPR all season.

I reckon we will set up defensively and maybe even bring Zouma or Mikel in for this one.

0-0

Maybe but I think we have a good idea of what team Jose will pick for this if everyone is fit, bar Costa.

Hope Mata gets a good reception.

Same here.

Our former players have a habit of scoring against us this season however.

Eto'o

Lampard

Luiz

...

Mata?

They didn't even look like getting booked today, am gonna say I think it was clear that Matic didnt want to get a yellow, I noticed he pulled out of a few challenges today. Hopefully now that the yellow card hoodoo is not over his head he'll perform to the standards we're used to seeing.

very hard to predict so like a few folk I'll plump for a draw at this stage.

draws against United and Arsenal would be incredibly useful.

draw against United and we are on 74 points while the most they can reach will be 81 if they win all their games

draw against Arsenal and we move to 75 while the most they could get would be 82 if they win all of theirs

of course if the United Arsenal game ends in a draw they each lose 2 points

so it looks like avoiding defeat to United will leave us needing no more than 8/9 points out of a possible 18 to take the title - and that figure will fall if Arsenal or United drop points elsewhere
