Top 4 Starting XI

Featured Replies

Interested to know who people would have in a team made up of the top 4 teams. I've put mine in a generic 4-3-3 as most teams seem to be moving towards that except us.

Heres mine

GK-Honestly couldnt seperate them. Cech/Courtois/DeGea/Hart are all great keepers in my opinion

DR-Ivan

DC-Terry

DC-Koscielny

DL-Dave

DM-Matic

CM-Cesc

CM-Toure

RW-Sanchez- Shifted Sanchez from the left to the right.

ST-Aguero - Tough one this. I wouldnt swap Aguero for Costa but I think Aguero is the better overall striker. Not by much though.

LW-Hazard - Not a tough choice but theres some top players at LW. Hazard/Silva/Sanchez/ oh and Young

7/10 Chelsea players. Could easily have been 9/11 (sorry Americans) if Courtois and Costa were put in.

My conclusion is that even without signing a starting 11 player we're not looking too shabby

Something like this:

Courtois

Zabaleta

Koscielny

Terry

Azpilicueta

Matic

Hopefully not Schweinsteiger (Fabregas)

Hazard

Silva

Sanchez

Aguero

(P.S. If di Maria manages to sort his sh*t out he'll walk into this team)

On last season's performance... Ivanovic was by far a better RB than Zab. In my opinion. Pretty much everything else you said I would agree with though.

Koscielny..... Just no.

Koscielny was one of the best CBs in the Prem last year. I know he's a gooner but if JT can name him in his team of the year then so can i

De Gea

Ivan

Shaw (saw him at the Bridge last season and you could see the potential)

Koscielny

Terry (OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!!)

Matic (OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!!)

Herrera

Willian

Sanchez

Aguero

Hazard

5 Chelsea

3 Utd

2 Arsenal

1 City

On the bench I'd have Courtois, Zabaleta, Schneiderlin, Fabregas, Silva, Costa, Rooney

Azpi is probably the best defender in the league and he doesn't make your list?

You talking to me Sydney?

I want a left-footed left-back so he can attack down that side.

No reason to be cautious with a side as good as mine.

Herrera wouldn't get anywhere near replacing Fabregas DB. i think it's like 96 caps for Spain to..0.

Mine would be..

Courtois

Ivan - Koscielny - Terry - Azpilicueta

Matic - Fabregas

Sanchez - Silva - Hazard

Costa (close one between Aguero and Costa, but i just had to put him in)

?Bench: Cech, Zabaleta, Ramsey, Eriksen, Di maria, Willian, Aguero.

Yeah you're probably right. Don't know what I was thinking.

I haven't picked this on current form but rather the best possible team if all played to the best of their abilities imo.

A 4-1-4-1 formation.

De Gea

Zabaleta - Kompany - Terry - Azpi

Matic

Sanchez. - Rooney - Di Maria - Hazard

Aguero

Subs: Koscielny, Schneiderlin, Mata, Silva, Costa

If you're using that criteria, Yaya has to make your squad.

Koscielny..... Just no.

To be fair... what's the alternative?

Man Utd don't have a single top level centre back, and Koscielny is clearly Arsenal's best defender. I thought he just about pipped Cahill, and while Kompany would have walked into the team about two seasons ago (alongside Terry) his recent form has led me to wonder what his 'true' level actually is.

If you're using that criteria, Yaya has to make your squad.

Arguably but Di Maria had some of his best performances at Madrid in central midfield under Ancelotti.

I see I haven't even got him on the bench big omission on my part there. Just imagine he's on the bench.
