*Official* Pedro to Chelsea

Featured Replies

If Cuadrado is off and Pedro too (?) that leaves the squad pretty thin in the wing position, unless the James rumours are actually more than just rumours.

(I was actually looking forward to seeing a reinvigorated Cuadrado have a second go at that right wing slot. Won't mind if that deal falls through.)

Brilliant assist, but aside from that he was crap.

2-0 up against a side who had already thrown in the towel, provided acres of spaces behind the midfield and defence. Well if he get one-tenth of as much space playing against a half decent pl side, he would be lucky.

Should not even look at such performances. Funny thing is, he has got his "assist" so now people would use that for arguing pedro's uses in the squad.

And here comes the excuses from the Pedro is crap brigade!  :laugh2:  Burnley threw in the towel at 2-0? yet they started committing more players forward to try to score, they got 3 corners in a row and was putting us under pressure, we caught Burnley on a couple of good counter attacks where Pedro set up Moses and should have got another assist from a counter attack if Azpi had scored, which is why Pedro is such a good player to bring on against a team chasing the game against us, because he is very dangerous on the counter attack and makes good runs in behind.

And we all know if Batshuayi had come on and scored the poster above wouldn't be saying he only scored because Burnley threw in the towel he would be shouting from the roof tops that Batshuayi should be starting ahead of Costa!

why is the word assist in quotation marks? are you suggesting he didn't actually create a goal?

also why shouldn't people point to him contributing as evidence that he's capable of... er... contributing?

So we have bought a player for 21 million pounds, and atleast 6/7 million pounds a year wages to play on the counter.

In that case, lets get romelu too. He would be a perfect back up striker to diego in case we are leading 2-0, right? Because we are just so lucky that we are leading 2-0 every game.

Batshuayi scored an equaliser against watford. The same team against whom pedro started and was CRAP for 60 odd minutes or how many minutes he tourtured us. How is that even equivalent. LOL.

What pedro did last night is what salah/cuadrado/schurrle and I am sure even traore could easily have done. It proofs absolutely NOTHING. The game which did prove was against watford, Showed the quality or utter lack of it from Pedro, but obviously, he is going to have a "big season"

Because that "contribution" adds nothing to the team, unless u think we would be winning the league on goal difference

Also, the conditions matter a lot. The amount of space that burnley provided, we could have put musonda/traore and they would have got that "assist"

Laughable excuses yet again, you got some extra time now to think of some more excuses during the international break, i know you will be praying Pedro doesn't score or assist against Swansea, just like you was hoping and praying Costa wouldnt score against West Ham.  :laugh2:

if we can't praise players for coming on when we're winning and playing well presumably we cannot criticise them for coming on and playing badly if we ultimately end up winning?

on your second point, you are talking hypothetically. musonda or traore didn't come on and put an inch perfect cross in with their weaker foot, pedro did. you can't say for sure that they would have done, whereas I can say for sure that pedro did. because he did. and in any case, I stopped associating chelsea with clinical counter attacking many, many months ago. so I think that the contribution of the subs was great to see and was far from meaningless.

So setting up a goal adds nothing to the team, what a complete load of arse  :laugh2:

Your desperation to denigrate Pedro shows just how much of a tool you are.

HHAHA. excuses!!! well, u should watch the match against watford!!!  :laugh2:

seemed like a fish out of water.

And thats the catch22. we dont give chances to youth players and fans who want the youth players to be given a go are ridiculed.

You probably stopped associating chelsea with counter attacks because for the last year, we were barely ever in a position to counter attack. We were either a goal or 2 behind or level - both meaning we looked to be chasing games.

These are exactly the games where youth players should be given a go.

And how many times has this happened in the history of english football?

Like i said, should we buy romelu just in case we are 2-0 up and need goals on the counter. We all know he is a beast in that.

All did not that include a 6-1 drubbing of united at OT. I would associate THAT to the league loss than just scoring a goal extra here or ther.

HAHAHAH. How old are u lad?

6?

Try to understand things sometimes rather than falling back on abuses.

what has that got to do with his performance yesterday? do you expect him to play well in every match or something? i dont even expect Hazard or Kante to play well in every match, every player has bad games. Fact is he done well yesterday, and you cant even bring yourself to compliment him, instead you look for excuses to discredit him.

I dont expect players to play well in each game. But there is also playing "average" rather than looking absolutely hopeless. Thats the difference. Also that happens too often with pedro, does not it?

What should I give him credit for? He got an assist against a team who was "lucky" to escape with a 3-0 banging. If our finishing was good, we would have ended up with 6/7. We carved them open, time after time after time. Its also the game which is not going to happen more than 3/4 times a season, so those are the only games that I should expect anything from pedro.

I want chelsea to return to the elite status, not have players who can simply play well against relegation teams.

And thats the catch22. we dont give chances to youth players and fans who want the youth players to be given a go are ridiculed.

fans who want youth players to get given a chance aren't ridiculed. you are ridiculed. for saying ridiculous things.

True, saying salah/cuad/schurrle/traore/musonda could have done as good a job as pedro yesterday with burnley playing the way they were is "ridiculous"

he's a good asset, but still seems like his feet move too fast for his brain sometimes lol. would like to see him on the right wing though (any time he replaces willian) and moses out left, hazard central.
