Bet that chelsea gooner steward is seething after seeing the snake come back to haunt his team...again...welcome back Cesc...can't forget it took Mourinho to go for you to show up, but better late than never

An easy one. It's definitely Fabregas..

Seems like he has finally found his magic hat.

Well done, Cesc  ::clap2::

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas:

"At 11 vs 11 I think we were on top, and although they had a chance with Flamini I thought we were very good. I am feeling sharp, and my brain is quicker than in the last few months. I am in more control. My team-mates make it easier for me, and in the last year this is the best moment."

Should've had a penalty too. That was a definite foul in the box.

Stonewall pen, the state of officiating in this league has gotten worse and worse, a 5 year old would have given that.

To be fair same can be said for half the team on that note. Cesc certainly isn't alone in improving when Jose left.

Cesc, the snake comment must have gotten to him

Maybe he should shave the beard, get some aviator sunglasses and rock the Cobra look:

Fabrigas wearing his magic hat again, but Mikel almost got it for dumping Ramsey and his Arse with that lovely shimmy

Fabregas. At his best he makes the game tick, he is a player in the mould of Modric or Xavi. Not as good obviously but the guy has the ability to dictate the ability of a whole football match, which is an extremely useful asset.

Obviously Modric, Xavi and Fabregas are all brilliant passing midfielders, but another advantage of Fabregas is how capable he is of picking out more direct passes; he seems to have more attacking instinct than the other two (although is nowhere near as good as either off the ball).

I also like how he seemingly has some sort of leadership qualities, obviously a good indicator is that he was made Arsenal captain at 21, and I saw him giving what looked like instructions to Oscar, a player who has been at the club more than twice as long as he has, before the game started. This is a real asset considering that our 'old guard' of leaders are at the tail end of their careers and how many young attacking players we have who have the potential to become world-class.

Agreed though that Fabregas was our best player, and not for the first time under Guus by any stretch.

Yes but it's especially the case with him and Costa

That non-decision was so bad, I just have to laugh every time I see it...the fact he booked Matic for a much softer push just a minute or two later made it even worse...it was like he was trying to help arsenal get back in the game...Clattenburg not giving fk for blatant collision with Courtois that almost led to an equaliser was another example

Spot on mate. He's so capable of splitting a defence. That's a valid point you mentioned, but did you notice the game on sunday? it appeared that we were playing a 4-3-3 in midfield. Fabregas' lack of strength and tackling is made up by Matic and Mikel with him. I was worried when I saw the team sheet to see Fabregas in the number 10 role as he looked much better deeper against Everton. Although I was hoping Guus was looking for a more Juventus like midfield, where Matic and Mikel acted as the workhorses to free up space for Fabregas. I would not mind us continue with this setup, especially given Matic deciding to perform yesterday.

Yup, you're totally right. I feel the likes of Fabregas and Costa, who've been in gigantic games will be key for the games vs PSG. They know what it means to perform on the big stage and in a way they are our closest replacements to Lamps and Drogs. We'll need the experienced lads to give it their level best
