February 13, 201610 yr Were they total poop? Is it me? They were poor, but not that poor I think they were pretty poor. The mistakes they made would makae MK Dons look like Barcelona.
February 13, 201610 yr I think they were pretty poor. The mistakes they made would makae MK Dons look like Barcelona. Bit of hyperbole there. They did make mistakes granted, but we made fewer hence the significant win. Let's enjoy.
February 13, 201610 yr I thought it was the holy 3rinity Surely God would wear the #10, being the creator and all?
February 13, 201610 yr Bit of hyperbole there. They did make mistakes granted, but we made fewer hence the significant win. Let's enjoy. Too late unfortunately, the narrative is set and its all about how bad Newcastle were, not how good out goals were. Watch motd tonight
February 13, 201610 yr I wish the boss had gone with that team vs Man U. We really shouldn't hold back from now till the end of the season. Come on Chels!!
February 13, 201610 yr Surely God would wear the #10, being the creator and all? He wanted to but it was already taken by Sparky.
February 13, 201610 yr 12 games unbeaten, 10 in the league. Is that the best in the league this season?
February 13, 201610 yr 12 games unbeaten, 10 in the league. Is that the best in the league this season? Equal second best. Leicester also went on a 10-game unbeaten run earlier in the season. The longest run is Tottenham with a regrettable 14-game unbeaten run starting with the second game, thankfully ended by Newcastle.

February 13, 201610 yr Too late unfortunately, the narrative is set and its all about how bad Newcastle were, not how good out goals were. Watch motd tonight Our pressing created their mistakes but if I were a Newcastle fan id be raging at the players for that performance. They were truly horrendous. We didnt actually have to be good to beat them. Willian was my MoM however thought Diego had a great game. Same goes for Fibreglass, Matic and Pedro. Hazard was a real frustration for me, a few decent threatening dribbles but not close to his best. Just wonder whats going on in his head sometimes, Injuries, head turned by Real? Hope he squares himself away.
February 13, 201610 yr Just got back from the game...loved it..great result and saw a lot of effort put in today.
February 13, 201610 yr Just the Spanish wasn't it? No, the whole team. I think it was for Graham Moore.

February 13, 201610 yr Back home from The Bridge and a few celebration beers. What a match! Our team played the best this season. Even Matic had a good game! My doubt is whether we saw the Chelsea we want back because Newcastle did not perform, or if they did not play because our lads didn't let them. I'm tempted to go with the second option 'cause when we were up by 2 or 3 and waiting back for them, we still showed a solid defence and pressing well in midfield. Other games we started winning but ended up losing (Southampton or Liverpool spring to my mind). Nice to see Hazard play all 90 minutes, and nice build up to Traore's goal. Though he missed a clear chance that last year would have been a goal. I also like Traore's attitude but did see some manners in RLC that I did not like, especially when instead of tackling he took his arms up to protect himself from a possible thump of the ball. Overall I think the team should get the confidence needed for the next couple of games.
February 13, 201610 yr 12 games unbeaten, 10 in the league. Is that the best in the league this season? Sorry bevis but The Chels are 12th behind the Merseyside teams: 10. Everton 35 +11 11. lpuke 35 -4 12 CFC 33 +2
February 13, 201610 yr Much needed, and thoroughly enjoyed. Wow, it's nice to sit back and relax watching Chelsea play like that, it has been too long. I actually like the back 4, and I hope that Guus realizes that we should play Azpi at RB and Baba at LB; however, Baba - for all his great crossing - did manage to look frail defensively a couple of times against Janmaat, so I think we'll see Azpi back over at LB for PSG if JT can pull through. Cesc in the middle, as the "water carrier" and creator, is where he belongs, always. Not as a number 10. We were far more fluid in teh front 4, and some of Cesc's passes from deep were nothing short of sublime. A great confidence boost, and gets us closer to 40 points. Also happy for young Traore. RLC looked a little scared, and I can't help but feel we need to try him a little deeper, but we're not going to see him displace Cesc from that position any time soon
February 13, 201610 yr Sorry bevis but The Chels are 12th behind the Merseyside teams: 10. Everton 35 +11 11. lpuke 35 -4 12 CFC 33 +2 I think he meant 10 games unbeaten in the league, in a row, being the best in the league. Not that 10 is our position.
