We looked dominant. Think we will discuss enough in the 2nd leg. Bit disappointed with kyle Scott, didn't have the best of games when he came.

Really like the look of tomori, in fact the whole of the back 4 were very impressive.

People have often advised athletes against sex in the build up to an event, as it can affect performance. This must be further proof that it's best avoided during a match as well.

I've never been that impressed with Scott despite Dorset (who is a great poster) always talking him up. Nice, tidy player but I don't see anything exceptional there.

Tomori has really kicked on this year though. Chalobah looked brilliant on that right-flank too.

That made me laugh!

Thought we played well but looked a bit toothless up front without Abraham.

Although we were by far the better and stronger team , thought City had the best player on the pitch in Diaz. Thankfully we stiffled his threat pretty well but at times his quick feet and control were amazing. Nicely set up for return home leg and just hope Abraham is back to make the difference.

Kyle Scott is Joe Edwards go-to player in midfield for the Under-18s and has been for some time. In my opinion he is unique in a group that includes [or has included] talented players like Colkett, Ali, Sammut, Christie-Davies, Quintero, Maddox and Mount, in that he alone [possibly Quintero too if he improves defensively] can fulfil all the midfield roles at a high technical level. More importantly, he shifts the ball from back to front with an impressive fluidity of movement - very pleasing on the eye.

Even though it was only in a cameo role on Friday and admittedly he wasn’t at his best, you could see he was brought on specifically to take the sting out of the game, slowing it down and keeping control for long periods. We were happy to bring City back to the Bridge on level terms at that stage and Scott kills a game, whilst still keeping it flowing forward at pace when necessary, better than all those other players I’ve mentioned. I think this is just as much of a skill as finding a forward with a Fabregas pass - and I’ve seen him do that on a number of occasions as well!

I trust your assessment of him and his role in this team, but for me there's just something special missing from his game. I agree with everything you're saying and for me he's an extremely smooth, tidy player but I'm just not sure how that translates to the professional game.

Second leg tonight, 19:45, Stamford Bridge.

Expect it's on ITV 2 or 4 as well.

Yep. If we can dominate like we did the first leg and hopefully Abraham is back, we should have too much for them, although I do worry about their Diaz if he is allowed to get into the game.

COME ON YOUNG CHELS!!

Goal out of nothing, still 1-0 it is, hope we get more control second half. On a side note, two players barely touch each other and the ref gives them a taking to, shocking how soft football has become, it gets on my nerves.

His dad had sex with his mum 17yrs ago perhaps?

Judging by his physique his dad may well have been Marcel Desailly and his mom Emile Heskey. What an athlete.

If I'm a City fan watching that though I'm gutted. They've probably been the better side that half.
