can't comment on his skills, but at least if this is true it's a sign that we're looking in the right direction. we're in dire need of a CB

Definitely. I'm all for this signing.

Manolas is very fast. Conte always prefers a left footed player in his back 3. So I assume we will be linked with every left footed Italian defender since Maldini.

Chiellini is left footed. One can dream.

He is also technical, simillar to what Frank Lebaouf was for us.  I would much rather we bought him instead of a slow Bonucci, hopefully we could get him for £25mil-£30mil.

If we do manage to sign this fella, it would be a quality signing. Zouma, Manolas and Dave(?) wouldn't be a bad defence!

Solid player although 35m seems a bit much. For that money our first target should be Laporte, although city are in pole position to land him.

 

Regardless, if we get Manolas we could have a fantastic cb roster for 16-17 season of - Manolas, Zouma, Ivanovic and Miazga.

 

This could get even better for 17-18 season with Christensen coming back to replace Ivanovic.

Being true to italian tradition you know conte is going to insist on having the best defence around.

Rumours appeared to start up again yesterday. By all accounts we're going up against Arsenal for his signature. Could be a back up in case Koulibaly goes to Everton?

Chelsea are prepared to offer €32m to Roma for Kostas Manolas and a €4m per year contract.

The defender recently complained at the proposed contract renewal and warned he could walk away this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea are behind his protests.

The offer on the table is believed to be €32m with a contract worth €4m net per season.

The big problem is that if Manolas is sold before August 31 2016, Roma owe his old club Olympiacos €10m.

This guy should have been out 2nd choice behind Bonnuci any ways. He is much better than Koulibaly and Rudiger.

 

We should just secure this deal asap. Even if it means paying another €10m for Roma to pay to Olympiakos.

Saw a article saying Koulibaly is going for £50mil. That's pounds not euros!!

Last price I saw quoted was €50mil and I thought we'd be overpaying. Rather pay €40mil for Kostas anyway

Think we'll get 3 more in Hopefully one of Manolas/Bonnuci/Koulibaly A right back or left back depending on where Azpi is going to play and a centre midfielder if Matic does leave Andre Gomes seems to be a legit target.

This would be an incredible signing! Manolas and Zouma at CB would allow us to play a high line and press the ball more effectively higher up the pitch, I can't think of a faster CB pairing then Zouma and Manolas.

High lines terrify me, ever since AVBs run here *shudders*

I'd like to get manolas. He looks like just what we need.
