Where the feck where we for Bailly? He's brilliant and so is Zlatan. Would have been so perfect.

Man united will be right up there I think.

They have bought well

Right up there? They have to win the title or Jose is under big pressure, When Real bought Bale, They won the Copa Del Rey and CL, When Barca bouht Suarez they won the treble, I know United have a great PR game over here but if you break the world record transfer fee, Being right up there does not cut it, Especially when you are not in the CL, They have to win or bust this year.

I think your lot are under more pressure this season.

Will it be groundhog day again? Arsenal get beat in season opener, Arsenal fan tv is full of t-wats moaning and whining, Arsenal then sign some mediocre signing for a big amount on deadline day or near that and they convince the numpties he's the next Pele and they go on a good run until they bottle it late on.

Why? Same pressure sure, But more why? They have a manager who knows the league better and have spent 'better'.

You spent more... And your squad was already significantly better than theirs to start with. Man City should therefore be the favorites to win -- and that brings the most pressure.

To be fair they've got what are probably their fourth and fifth-choice centre backs starting, as well as no Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud, Xhaka (etc.) starting.

This is quite a distance from a full-strength Arsenal first XI.

This is always arsenals problem though, they are very rarely able to play a full strength 11 as they seem to have players injured more than any other club.

You would have to put it down to arsene wengers training methods, because it has been like this for a long time now.

I think it's hilarious

I think that's a valid point, although it's rarely quite this bad. It's the equivalent of us starting Miazga and Hector/Chalobah/Mikel as our centre-back partnership, as well as our two best creative players and our first-choice striker.

In all honesty I can't say with any confidence why this is such a persistent problem for them. Risk-taking with players' fitness perhaps? Poor scouting? Not listening to medical staff?

They spent more on decent players overall. They did not have a world record breaking super-signing like Manchester United. There is pressure in that. Pep is coming to a new league and the fact that he is new to the league will buy him some time. Jose does not have that same excuse. He just won it a year back.Plus Jose was fired under bad circumstances last year. I think there is more pressure on United to win. The only person who does not have the pressure to win is probably .... Can you guess ?

Might be a weak arsenal side but they look comfortably better than Pool thus far. That Liverpool defence and mignolet will be good for a few comical errors this season
