Man City Away - 2014 or 2016?

Featured Replies

2014. It was about a perfect away performance against a top team that I can remember.

Obvously yesterday was fantastic, but we have to be honest, we did ride our luck a little..

2014 was one of the best performances I've ever seen, Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero were all at their best and they were in great form, having won every single game at home.

2014 was the more secure performance defensively, but 2016 we were lethal going forward and on the counter-attack. It was also a better overall game with excellent attacking play from both sides. Difference is that we defended somewhat better than City on this occasion but we could easily have lost. 2014 we didn't really look like losing.

2016. I think it will go down as the more memorable match when we look back upon it in years to come.

The 2014 match was fantastic as well. We were playing a City side who were peaking and very dominate and to come away with a victory away from home and do it in such textbook style was brilliant. It was the first real glimpse of what would unfold under Mourinho for the next 12/18 months after that.

They were both fantastic in their own way.

I loved 2014 though, they had smashed the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham. Then we had City supporters on here saying they were gonna put 5 past us. [emoji23]
