I love the pictures showing the Bridge absolutely bursting with people. Thought we had no fans before Abramovich also?

Funnily enough our average attendance between 1945 and 1989 is higher than Liverpools.

It's quite wuite funny whenever Liverpool fans sing the no history thing at us. It just shows there jealousy and also how idiotic they are. We'd won stuff and have had a big fan base before Roman and in any case if you're only gonna measure history in trophies only I guess there are hundreds of football teams that have no history. Because you know trophies are history nothing else is. f**king divs! Rant over

Notts County is the oldest club in the League. Their trophy cabinet is pretty empty (Fa Cup winners 1894). I'd say they have a history.

Liverpool fans are just pitiful.

Okay. Let them think we got no history. But at least we got better future and present.

IIRC, discounting games at Wembley we have highest ever attendance for a game in London.

What they mean is no winning history, but when it comes to arsenal they have no European history, we created European history, they alledge we are a new elite club because of romans money well it maybe so but I was watching us pump Barca in the zola days pre roman and yea when I first started following Chelsea in the mid 90's they were basically a spurs level team, but a few years on we were starting to evolve and in 99 qualified for the CL, so what should I do stop supporting the team because it gets money, they don't need an answer the bottom line is we have been a CL team for near enough 20 years, we have won it, we are an elite club and they aren't, Beitger are Liverpool so who cares what they did 30 or 40 years ago, and when we were actually sh*t in the relegation days they couldn't say it to us or they would have got their heads kicked in happy days either way. Winners don't need stories.

Third highest crowd attendance at a single match in English football history and lead the whole nation in average attendance over a season something like 9 times in the early 1900's....some of those season when playing in the second div!  Not bad for not having history

Also in the late 70's and 80's when away supports were hit or miss, not like nowadys when at the bridge for instance you know definately which clubs will bring 1500 or 3000, we had regarded the 3rd biggest travelling support after united and dippers (a video on here somewhere with a police chief stating these facts)  and we were in the second division while those two clubs were at the top or near the top of div 1. Back in the day some supposed large clubs had piss poor away followings, villa and Man city always spring to mind for me.

this has the statement about us having third largest support in the country when we were sh*t! (As opposition like to chant) the quote is 13 minutes in but the whole programme is a good watch!
