We are getting closer to the "technical fouls" in NBA, next step - introducing the commercials during the game. You can't look at them, you can't laugh, smile, clap or say you disagree. Kevin Friend is always right. :D Edited August 1, 20187 yr by Giordano_Bruno
August 1, 20187 yr I wonder is stubbing your fag out on the refs head a red card ? I found this bit interesting... Quote This season will also see the introduction on competition-specific suspensions for players, rather than cautions carrying across multiple competitions. Now that is a good idea, no more using up your EPL match bans on minor cup games.
August 1, 20187 yr Who gives a sh*t. Managers quite often used to watch games from up in the stands because they had a better view of the game ( or in the directors box if they felt the need to cosy on up to the chairman) One of my pet hates is the cameras focusing on coaches flapping their arms around and having a go at the fourth official. It’s all for show.

August 1, 20187 yr They seem to be obsessed with bringing new things into the game over here in recent years. VAR, winter break, ABBA penalty system, shorter transfer window, now this. It's changing things just for the sake of it.

Because it's a stupid idea. I quite liked the 10 yard retreat for dissent but clubs voted against it. Goal line technology has been good because we don't even notice it most of the time but it's very exact when it is used. Only problem with VAR is that it's use is still very vague and open to interpretation. I'm not opposed to the transfer window closing before the season starts but it only works if all other European leagues do the same.
August 1, 20187 yr I quite like some of the rugby rules. Only captains speak to referees, All players have to retreat 10 yards immediately at a free kick or the free kick moves forward 10 yards, Referee is miked up and the stadium hears the VAR interaction and reasons for any decision or otherwise Quite like the idea of a 10 minute sin-bin for yellow card offences too. And, a fixed retrospective ban for anyone diving, reviewed by professionals if it wasn't picked up by the match officials.
August 1, 20187 yr Yeah plenty of good ideas can be taken from other sports like rugby especially. How about the one they use in rugby league, the one where your'e only allowed 6 phases of play before handing the ball back, it'll put a stop to Pep and his tiki taka. Here's one that narks me, when you get a free kick just outside the box, almost a penalty, but the reward is a free kick too close to goal and destined for row Z. Why not allow the attacking team to choose if they want to take the free kick further back, allow them up to 5 steps backwards so they can choose a better range.
August 1, 20187 yr yep, take it back anywhere on a straight line as long as it's not nearer the. goal.
August 1, 20187 yr I'd like to see timekeeping taken out of the referee's hands. Have a big clock at every ground what everyone can see, stop it for a break in play like an injury and play to 90 similar to rugby with the match stopping then when the ball is out of play.

Good, i blame that rule for us losing the Community Shield last season. I'll never forgive them for costing us the most important trophy of the season

I’m sure this is suppose to already be a thing but they seem to have given up on it. We’d end up with 3 players left on the pitch if it was enforced, our lot love a f**king moan!
