I'm going with Luiz, that clearance off the line sealed it. That moment just pushed him ahead of Kovacic, Rudiger and Kante.

Luiz for me too. You could see on his face how determined he was to get that win and he was trying to get the team, the fans and the ball boys up for it too.

We truly saw the full gamut of David Luiz today. We saw every aspect of his sheer chaos, every virtue and every flaw. This was a 10/10 David Luiz performance, it may as well have been played in Luiziana.

The bright side of this is that no truly great side (even those purported to be on the cusp of greatness) would permit themselves to be spectators to such perfection in flawedness. They, no matter how bleached their teeth and no matter how hackneyed the simple 'LFC 96' baseball cap, would not allow their story to take second stage for this bizarre exercise in what I'm sure must be hubris.

Based on the above, my prediction now is that Man City will maintain top spot until the end of the season.

Superficially, Hazard stands out, as did little Rudiger for his tackling.

Looking more closely at the highlights though, I have to say that Luiz didn't put a foot wrong either in attack or defence - none of his infamous concentration lapses today. Willian was also much better, Kante was almost flawless (you can nitpick about him marking Sturridge more closely for the goal), Kepa also made a big save and distributed as calmly as ever while Kovacic's through ball to Hazard was as impressive as his ability to help retain possession more generally.
