I know that most believe that loan has been written off . I am still not sure that’s the case I believe its likely there is an agreement in place that the loan can never be called in and indeed that almost certainly may be the case but the latest filed accounts for Fordstam still reflect the loan. The company structure was so complicated it would take someone far more capable and with greater access to conduct a deep dive into the myriad of companies that traded in different jurisdictions to fully understand what happened.

If you track back the CFC liabilities going back to RAs last year and through to the 23/24&24/25 you will see that the numbers have indeed grown post RAs departure you will not see how the numbers were adjusted downward either in year one or two to reflect write off.

Irrespective as I pointed a week or so ago you can’t use transfer market( something most do) with certainty using their numbers to try and track profit from player trading it’s only the accounts you will get clarity in those you know that all fees related to a players purchase and or sale are reflected and that includes agents and or intermediaries fees.

Even then you won’t see a player by player summary.Bit like a car dealer’s accounts you won’t see in their accounts details of every car they sale

Oh, I understand now, apologies for my car thing ...but PSR also takes into account wages paid to players while they are with us, as well as agent fees, so I'm guessing simply believing we've made a profit by selling a player for more than we paid isn't exactly correct , because wages , agent fees etc are a cost too , and add to our actual spending on that player and are included in our PSR figures

And also amortisation counts as a costs for PSR calculations. I believe our has reduced to below £200m now, but it still counts the same as spending ??

It seems some fans are doing transfer calculations and believing that that alone counts in the PSR rules, when in fact ALL spending , including staff etc is all part of our spending?? Or am I hopelessly wrong ?!!

My understanding, and i am in no way an expert or indeed even have a modicum of intelligence in such matters, is that as a Sanctioned Politically Exposed Person (PEP, ) any funds that he may have been owed physically cannot be passed to him and would have to be held in escrow. This i believe is the fabled treasure trove that Cameron has been sitting on for years. Due to likelihood that the funds would never be released by the UK government to him, i thought that RA made the grandiose concession to utilise the funds owed to him for humanitarian aid for the war, and thereby removed the lien against the club.

Whether it could ever have, would ever have, sunk us is somewhat moot as the result appears, on the face of it, to have come to a perfect conclusion for the clubs finances as we underwent an unprecedented evolution from the club of the 80's and 90's to what we see today, under Abramovich's tenure and then upon his departure the net result for the new incumbents was a clean slate in bank accounts terms (albeit with apparently some self declared financial skeletons lurking around). Hence why a number of us cannot understand why others on here keep telling us to not hark on about the previous regime by constantly bringing up the previous regime.
