August 3, 2025Aug 3 I was thinking of the strategy this window and it seems to have changed slightly. We’ve gone from signing pure kids to kids who have already had that development at another club. For example: Chuckwemka two season agoThis season: Joao Pedro and sharp Completely different. Almost Roman 2004 esque, players who are just about to hit their peak as opposed to having to develop kids.

I would have backed them more if they did. The majority of our signings had under 100 senior appearances at club level, some of them less than 50. Delap, Gittens, Pedro, Hato, all 4 of them have over 100 senior appearances. Simons and Garnacho will be the same if we sign them too. Edited August 3, 2025Aug 3 by Scott Harris

I don’t think you understand how the finances work on these sales.

I know when I buy a car and spend years insuring, taxing and fuelling it and then trade it it for less than I paid, to me that’s a loss.
August 4, 2025Aug 4 I know we’ve all been critical of the owners/strategy/SD‘S but they have done a great job of selling players and mostly making a profit on them. Spurs, Villa and United have all massively struggled to sell their players which has restricted their incomings.
August 4, 2025Aug 4 When you look at what is happening with the owners at Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday, our owners don't seem so bad after all !

You can start with learning how amortization works on player fees.

If you pay attention to the add ons we put on players you’ll notice the trend.Hint: £400k profit. Edited August 5, 2025Aug 5 by Clown Lake

Money in/Money out we’re ‘down’ but according to the book we’re ‘up’Think taking a car on finance with a balloon payment and then the dealer offers you more than that at the end.Something for the anoraks to circle jerk over their annual accounts for and the rest of the world to just shake its head at.
