September 2, 2025Sep 2 Anything less than a title push and a CL QF place is a failure this year. Our squad is more than good enough and we've spent way too much not to be competitive.I think the squad is too inexperienced as a unit and just by the average age. Plus the Champions League will very much be a problem as well in terms of title push in the Prem. Even the club has already said top 4 is the minimum requirement. Naturally the players and Enzo will go for it but the club has some sense in terms of the squad. Edited September 2, 2025Sep 2 by evissy
September 2, 2025Sep 2 Btw anyone else having problems with the forum on Android? Removing a quote that is saved from an earlier session is not easily removed. The button which says "clear..." Just disappears instantly. Then when just deleting the quote with backspace (that takes ages) removes the entire quote box even if I delete everything before that. So annoying.

Estevao, Delap, Joao, Garnacho, Santos, Essugo and Hato all deserve a year under their belt to settle their feet.Next year however we go strong! I am extremely excited to see this team flourish 😁Yet again we have to wait and be patient ??Stamford Bridge is to be renamed ....."The Waiting Room" stadium

They already had a settled spine, so yes I think our team does need a year to settle so they can put in a challenge.

Then it all begins again !Anyway, to be honest , all I've ever wanted is to watch us playing good , attractive football and for players to stick around long enough that there's a bond between players, the club and fans .I even wrote to Ken Bates back in the day to thank him for giving us the team that were playing great football at that time and were unlikely ever to win the trophies that we did eventually under the next owner . ..

The attack is where our team really did need that upgrade. We have definitely upgraded from the likes of Mudryk, Jackson, Madueke and Sancho. Now they need a year to work with each other, make mistakes, and use what they have learned in the year to fully push. I had the same fear as you about changing players every year however what proved to me that the best players will continue with us is the new contract for Cucurella. He is an older player, already on higher wages, however he received a new contract for great performances. This proved to me that to our owners the team also comes first, finances later. Hopefully it settles your nerves too seeing from my perspective 🙂

Us fans argue and disagree all the time, but the club and the team come first .What do think about our investors doing a lap of honour if we make a profit at end of season ??😂

We can’t forget our owners are brand new to football, took them a year to understand and build a good model. They care, unlike the Glazer family leeches at Old Trafford.

Not being owned by the Glazers is irrelevant.

One trophy was an embarrassment to even be playing in. The other entry to that competition was courtesy of our previous owner .. Scraping into CL on the very last day ?? . You keep saying we have to be patient, but then apparently we're already back to being Roman's Chelsea !!i told you before, good, exciting entertaining football is all I ever want .This team have shown they can play that way, Maresca needs to let them.play with a less rigid implementation of his style .See you later bud Come on you BLUES !!

September 2, 2025Sep 2 I wrote this in a different topic but I think the owners have shown their true colours this summer. There were signings that could have been made that would have improved our first team with quality and experience and they were very gettable signings.Donarouma, Guehi, Rodrygo, Osseimen would have transformed us, instead we spent £100m beating the world of football to the signings of Gittens and Garnacho. We may well have downgraded on Madueke if possible, using 19 yr old academy players in defence and still have Sanchez. They care about resale not sporting success. Any success is a bonus but not the priority. Wake up.

Take care friend.I have resigned myself to the fact that we are not buying players to help us challenge for trophies but to use them for profit. ..I don't like it and it doesn't have to be that way. We've spent huge amounts that should have elevated us. But I can't let you keep on with the narrative that it's other than what is obvious to nearly everyone else, without challenging it.You are predicting, without anything to back it up , that we are hurtling towards being a great , all conquering team., our constant player churn alone ruins any chance of that. . Other than that, I'm cool with your opinions.Take care mush .😂
September 2, 2025Sep 2 We sign 10 new players every season, none with the quality or experience to have an immediate impact and improve the first team straight away.We then get told they lack experience and will take time to settle/adjust. We spend the next 2-3 seasons getting them ready and then sell them.I’ve spent the last 10 yrs taking the piss out of Gooners and their process/project. Talking net spend and celebrating top 4. To hear our fans now do it saddens me.The only people who can hold the club accountable are the fans. We set the standards, if you accept mediocrity thats what you’ll get.Act like Brighton, become f**king Brighton.

September 3, 2025Sep 3 When this mob first took over they made some catastrophic mistakes, but to be fair to them they have learnt. This transfer window was, in my opinion a blinder. We have replaced for example two weak and stroppy forwards Jackson & Nkunku with Delap and Pedro, who for me are a major upgrade, not withstanding the profit the club made on them. I also think that garnacho may turn out to be a better player than madueke, he has a 'bite' about him (which I of course despised at manure !)I am feeling good about this coming season and I for one don't want to end up in a polarised for or against the owners, it serves no one well.

Or the manager for that matter. The owners are spending which is good, not sure they’re spending it all wisely. The manager hit his targets last season I just wish he would take the hand break of at times.A few teaks to the transfer strategy and the managers tactics and we will be a much better team thats much better to watch. All very doable, but what do I know?
September 3, 2025Sep 3 Dont care if we sell for profit as long as we keep the ones who actually turn out to be good.
