Alternative Chelsea Shirt

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just looking for some 2nd opinions.  I'm looking at buying an alternative Chelsea shirt, like a retro shirt, for my 12 year old nephew's birthday. I've been checking out a website .  It's pretty clear the shirts that are marketed towards fans of other clubs (Spurs, Liverpool, WHU, Arsenal, Villa etc) when looking at the site but to me the Chelsea one is not apparent.  I am guessing the shirt aimed towards a Chelsea fan is the one in the image I attached.   However, I'm getting an 80s Millwall vibe from it as opposed to Chelsea.....  Do you agree?

Please, don't inflict this on your nephew.

It has to be the 1970 one

A fine shirt. I have one somewhere at home. Don't often wear football shirts at games nowadays but may wear the 1970 one at the next home game whenever that will be!

I think this one is supposed to be the "Chelsea" design. It actually looks fine but as others have said, I personally don't see the point of paying good money for a pretend Chelsea shirt when you can get an actual vintage replica for a similar price.

Hideous looks like the sort of top that a team of merchant bankers would wear and were sponsored by the Financial Times. If it's not Chelsea it's nothing.

Why would you get anything else when this beautiful number is only £35 from the club...

Don’t let Chris Perry former Wimbledon player see that shirt, he’s still looking for Franco Zola in it, after he was sold a dummy for Franco to score that goal at Highbury in 97 semi final

Funny that Boyne, I had a 1970 fa cup pin badge delivered today, it’s a little bigger than the usual ones I wear to games, but thought what the heck, I’m wearing it first game back, looks like 2022 now at best

Zola and that goal is the first thing that flashes through my mind when I see that shirt.

Ossie, Hutch & Charlie

I know I know I know, my parents and grandparents banged on about them all through the 70’s when I was a young kid and we were sh*t, but THAT team with Dixon, Speedie and Nevin arrived as I was a teenager, don’t forget our wonderful support in those days as well!! But both shirts classics

When we all get back to the Bridge we should wear retro shirts. Saying that some of mine have shrunk in the wash over the years. That's my excuse for them not fitting!
