I do get it that the mods want/need ads to pay for the site, but..

It's getting ridiculous now, intrusive surveys which you have to answer which will inevitably generate more spam.

Every page seems to have ads top and bottom.

I've been on here for a fair few years now, donated in the past and would again to get rid of these f**king ads. Is there not a limit to how many the site has to accept.

I’ve seen a lot of complaints on here about intrusive ads but I rarely have a problem. I normally just go on my iPhone and an ad comes up on the bottom of the page which I close and that’s it.

There really shouldn't be surveys which you have to answer at all. That sounds more like you have a virus. The adverts here are simply banner ads.

It's strange that they've been on for ages but its only the last few weeks that its raised complaints. I guess its because of more visits with the FA/Champions league.

@chelseablueboy if you click Store at the top, there is a subscription for ad-free. I would run a scan on your computer though, there shouldn't be surveys at all.

I have to agre with this.  On my pc, no issues, page just sometimes jumps as it loads.

On my iphone its become quite challenging to read.  It's not just an add across the bottom, but an add the expands in size from all sides, reducing the screen to a fraction of its readable size.

There’s been some tinkering and the jumps should be a lot more settled now.

This is great! Will buy this. Actually tried it already but I have a problem with my Paypal. It was hacked years back and I can't get it working. Will have another stab at it now by contacting them. The ads are really killing the enjoyment and I want to support the community.

You can use a debit or credit card on that PayPal checkout I think @evissy Just look for pay as guest with card on there.

I'm struggling a bit with the speed of the site loading. Is that to do with the ads?

Google should have an option where you can load up credit and switch to 'pay the ads' mode or something on a site where you cover the money the site would have got for your page views. That would be neat (I know there's a membership but I'm a bit sporadic in my time on forums so doesn't really justify a membership, but happy to contribute towards the time I am on it, if that makes sense).

I’m not sure it’s the ads @Jimmy the blue as  the server was a bit wonky for me earlier on.

Is it any better for you or still the same?

Wow, I've been getting some seriously dodgy ads lately*

*to be clear, this is not necessarily a complaint.

Blimey, I'm assuming its something that slipped through the network and won't be around too long.

excuse my stupidity, 

but I pay for add-free , but every time I logon it asks me to turn my add blocker off. 

Is this normal? Its just a minor annoyance to me , maybe I can make sure my add blocker is never on for this site somehow, I might need to investigate that.!

Hmm that’s weird @TilNev Can you whitelist the site for it, and confirm they don’t show when it’s off?

Not sure if it’s the ads or what, but this week the site is way too slow, to the point that I’m writing this and the letters drag to appear. Also, I’m incapable of opening the website on my iPhone, it just takes about 5 minutes to load a page. Is this the expected behaviour?

Not being able of opening the site on the phone when on 5G it’s been going on for a couple of months now, but the slow working of the site at home it’s only been this week. Bizarre, I’ve never had an issue at home. 
The annoying bit is that I won’t be able to tease @axman2526 from Newcastle when we do the magpies properly tomorrow!!

Only half the thread loads. Many times, it times out and goes to fault before loading.

Is this on desktop or mobile?
