Jorginho and Veratti controlling everything.

All mental. Want someone who has played on the biggest nights to put their foot on the ball and reassert control. Stones, Maguire and Pickford crappping themselves with the ball.

If only they had a Champions League winning RWB?

Yep. They have gone mentally. They need to snap out of it quickly, because they are going to cost England the game.

Not helping that England's centre backs keep passing the ball back to the opposition.

I was going to say too many Spurs or Spurs alumni.

Hell Italy are playing the Chels reserve, reserve LB and look better. Telling.

Fair enough, it's just my 'pool mates don't rate him, but I understand your point.

Can we al just agree that Federico Chiesa is an absolutely outstanding player. He’s been a cut above everyone in this tournament and at times it makes you realise how we vastly over estimate our players here in the UK; yes I’m talking Mount, Foden etc. It’s about time we start putting him that category with Mbappe, Haaland as ‘generational’. Chiesa will hoss the midfield debate for the next decade and I’d put my house on it. Above everyone on that pitch today.

Because when he plays for us, he's sh*t more often than not.

I don’t think anyone of sane mind can disagree.

Agreed, didn't know much about him before the tournament but he must be in the billion pound transfer bracket, compared to the 'superstar' players of today...oh and now he's off...massive for England.

thought jorginho was hanging off one leg?

He could be but England have essentially let he and Veratti have the ball and not pressed them in the slightest. They haven't made the Italians run.

Southgate has essentially played exactly the way the Italians would have wanted. England have the better team and played like they are West Brom.

He's going to need oxygen before extra time, but they'll keep him on for his penalty prowess

Just now, Scott Harris said:

As good as Italy were in that half, England were terrible. They just froze, and some of the decision making was terrible.

Yup. Just let Italy have the ball and invited pressure.
