July 11, 20215 yr Can we al just agree that Federico Chiesa is an absolutely outstanding player. He’s been a cut above everyone in this tournament and at times it makes you realise how we vastly over estimate our players here in the UK; yes I’m talking Mount, Foden etc. It’s about time we start putting him that category with Mbappe, Haaland as ‘generational’. Chiesa will hoss the midfield debate for the next decade and I’d put my house on it. Above everyone on that pitch today.

July 11, 20215 yr The pitch invader added just the type of energy England needed. Someone give him a shirt!

Agreed, didn't know much about him before the tournament but he must be in the billion pound transfer bracket, compared to the 'superstar' players of today...oh and now he's off...massive for England.
July 11, 20215 yr Reece James needs to come on for Walker who has no composure and just lumps every ball back up the pitch for Italy to start again.

He could be but England have essentially let he and Veratti have the ball and not pressed them in the slightest. They haven't made the Italians run. Southgate has essentially played exactly the way the Italians would have wanted. England have the better team and played like they are West Brom.
July 11, 20215 yr As good as Italy were in that half, England were terrible. They just froze, and some of the decision making was terrible.
