Next level conspiracy thinking in Italy now - mind blowing:

to prevent England, just out of Europe, from graduating champion of Europe .

too late, we got big ears, the real deal.

Great Britain is not a country; it's a landmass. It is known as 'Great' because it is the largest island in the British Isles, and houses the countries of England, Scotland and Wales within its shores.,

Correction Coco, the only landmass in the world that calls itself "Great". And we really aren't.

Ah now it makes sense, well at least you made the right move for you by the sounds of it. i don't live in the SE bubble, i live in rural west with great some great communities and beautiful countryside, it sure seems Great out here mate, at least were both happy.

So the day of the game then. A lot is going to said in this thread today. I think it would be good for the sake of transparency and openness if we all declared who we want to win from the outset.

I want England to win.

But the team I have enjoyed watching the most throughout the tournament is Italy and I feel they will have enough to win it tonight.

All the best to England tonight, I hope Mason Mount gets the European double. I wished Southgate playe James and/or Chilwell , but that is not going to happen today when it hasn’t happened throughout the tournament. I hope all my English friends get to celebrate big time tonight! I’m away on hols so can’t be in my local with them tonight.

Having said all that, for me Italy has played the best football so far, maybe the exception being the match against Spain.

From a Scot!

I was coming here to see if there was the customary ‘Match Day’ post from you but this’ll do.

I want a Chelsea player to win so I’m happy either way. Would be nice for England to win it though.

I'm thorn... On one hand I'm always cheering for the underdog on tournaments like that so would like England to finally win it all.

On the other... Can you just imagine the Jorginho thread after Italy win the thing? It would be a marvellous sight indeed.

So what I really want is a 4-3 win, with Sterling sent off for diving, Kane missing sitter after sitter, Grealish getting banned for not using his socks right and Mount assisting & scoring himself the 4 goals and thus becoming the new national hero. Jorginho with the perfect hat-trick. Yeah, that would be my wish. Please, football gods!

Begrudgingly England, as I really dont like the thought of those muppets, who rag on Mount at every opportunity and before that hounded out JT because of their Chelsea hate, getting to celebrate.

However it's the country of my birth in a final. I mean it is the Europa league of international cup finals, they really need to get their act together and do something special in the world cup, that is the Champions league of international football.

Though as has been suggested if Italy win the Jorgi thread will light up lol.

Still for Mason and for the young me who loved the England team in 96 and 98 and expierenced the extreme highs and lows of those tournaments, come on England!

I'm a neutral here and strongly believe that it's a 50-50 matchup so I'll just enjoy and wait if it comes home or to Rome. I hope to see Reece involved a bit and I expect Mount to do well but my biggest expectation is seeing how Kane and Immobile do in comparison as both are the top strikers in their domestic leagues.

The Euros is not Europa League mate, it's like the PL if the World Cup is the CL. Not a 2nd tier trophy like the EL

Cannot say I feel it is on the same level as the PL imo.

I would be feeling the nerves if this was the world cup, no doubt. For this game though no nerves at all.

It is a big deal and has a lot of value as a trophy, there's no question it's not quite as special as the world cup though. The EL of international trophies is like the Nations League.

For England fans this is the biggest game of their lives unless you were watching the '66 final, can't say the country would be so excited if it was the nations league or confed cup.

Nations league is like the Europa league Conference, recently made up to add more games and make more money. Nothing trophy.

Clearly you still feel far more for the national side than I do so will take your opinion on the level of the Euros.

I actually don't feel anything for England, never owned a shirt and never been to a match etc. didn't even get a buzz after winning the semi.

But it's not about the feeling it's just about the actual value of the trophy, I'm interested in seeing how I feel if we win, I've always just wanted to be able to see England win something in my lifetime but I don't love England like I do Chelsea.

Actually soeaking of the Europa League I didn't really care much about winning it the 2 times we did because of the value of the trophy, but I did get a buzz because of the context of winning them. The first time we started off with 7 trophy opportunities and lost them all so it was great to win the last one.
Then the 2nd time was to deny Arsenal their first Euro cup and path into the CL. It's also nice to see our players celebrating and being happy with their achievement. I think if we win tonight I'll enjoy watching out Chelsea boys buzzing over the win more than anything.
