Another battle won. Keep it going lads👏

I wonder, will the lads get a nice nights sleep in their hotel or will they have to fly straight back to London and not get into their beds till sometime tomorrow morning ?

Hotels cost money we're not allowed to spend

Lol why let Alonso take that free kick. No way he was ever hitting the target with the game he had.

Job done. Please let it be Benfica next.

For me anyone except city, pool n bayern then we will be favorite.

I particularly enjoyed Peter Walton being consulted on their penalty before the ref had made his mind up. He ummed and ahhed before saying 'the ref will need to take a look at this'. Once the penalty was given he made out that it was a fait accompli. Stealing a living that bloke.

I spoke to a friend of mine this morning and she mentioned that her son, brother and nephew were at the game. Her son and nephew were frisked by French police when entering the stadium. Not an issue and those who have been to games will have been frisked over the years. However her nephew had his facemask confiscated. A bit daft given that they are required on public transport in France.

There has been a lot of coverage in the media about trouble in Lille; however, little has been mentioned about Chelsea fans clearing up bottles and other rubbish outside a bar in Lille. Not surprising of our media.

Good result last night. A few whiskies to celebrate. Roll on the draw tomorrow and here's to Rangers getting a good result in Belgrade tonight.

I still have no idea how a handball penalty is given. More concerning is neither do the referee's. Why can't they just simplify the process is beyond me...

Some of our fans were hit with tear gas for no apparent reason too.

Yes. I forgot to mention earlier that the bar my friend's family was in was hit with tear gas for no reason.

Well technically yes because we were already 2-0 up but it was before the game.

Ah this was outside the stadium then? Anti Russian protestors perhaps.

If the ruling is not vague then you don't need human refs.

I posted a couple of You Tube links in the Vintage section, should have posted here.

One is a stand-off with French Police the other is fans clearing up the bottles before the Lille match
