If that happens and we sink toward the relegation zone with the likes of City, Liverpool and Tottenham coming up the owners hands will likely be forced.

Come what may I see them sticking with Potter. They are not Roman, their priorities are different.

Could be. Hopefully we just start winning instead so this isn't a topic but time will tell.

Given the new owners spent 250mill on a manager they knew full well they wanted to sack, and I cannot believe Potter had any say on Auba, Koulibaly, Zakaria or Sterling being signed up, it will be very, very interesting how well supported Potter is in his first window and how hard all the new higher up people are working to give him players to help right now, not just players that will go out on loan for 6 to 18 months.

I have no idea what they were thinking about there. For it to make sense you would have to assume they were in contact with either Potter or his recruitment specialist before Tuchel was sacked but no one will ever be able to prove anything there. But to give Tuchel his targets and then sack him before he's even had a go with "his" signings would be absolutely absurd so I don't think they are that stupid.

Personally, I think the decision to let Tuchel go may have been early/mid August. With no recruitment team Boehly and Co simply trusted Tuchel's instinct to get the remaining signings. I still think bar Aubameyang, all of our signings improve the team and could work well under any manager.

It’s annoying that the club have bought into this “rebuild” vision. Yes we need a rebuild but we’re not that bad that we should be scraping 7-9th. That’s embarrassing. We’ve finished top 4 consistently. Todd needs to have a big word with Potter who I fear is too nice a guy and not a winner.

This is what has been pissing me off the most, it's especially annoying that a lot of fans have bought into it too. It's like the past 3 seasons didn't even happen. In this period, did we not win 3 trophies, one of them being the Champions League, play in 6 cup finals and finish in the top 4 three times in a row? I remember when we won the Champions League, we had fans saying how excited they were because we were at the beginning with this group, and now they tell me we need to tear it all up and start over again? what a load of rubbish.

This whole rebuild thing just feels like a massive cop out and refusing to accept that everybody around the club right now is massively underachieving. I can't imagine any other team that won the Champions League 2 years ago with an average age under 27 would be saying they need to rip it all up and start again. It's sad that so many people have actually bought into this and I fear they are in for a huge crash back down to reality when all of this silly money being thrown around doesn't actually tackle the issues we have.

Cause a lot of them don't care. You sign mercenaries, which our big signings were, don't expect them to care they only care for their pay.

Add that to two keepers that are not top level, a defence that has only a good Chalobah and a top class Silva, 2 injury prone wingbacks, a midifeld that's only top level player is always injured, laughable lack of creativity and goals offered and we are what Arsenal used to be, and they were in these positions at times too.

Top points which is I can't be in the Potter out brigade just yet we need a major rebuild.

Just now, just said:

With Gabriel Jesus out for awhile following knee surgery, I think we should offer them Aubameyang to help them out in the January window.

Awfully nice of you Just, maybe he can take Koulibaly and Sterling with him. A triple belated Christmas gift.

Scott, what I struggle to understand is, what pissed you off before was very different. You repeatedly said, (when Tuchel was in charge), that you were fed up with mentally weak players who gave up whenever the going got tough. You felt it was a  symptomatic problem at the club.

So how do we correct it? Which players are the worst offenders in your opinion?

I'd be very interested in who you would start in tomorrow's game.

“ 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Cody Gakpo

Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign Cody Gakpo as official bid has been submitted today 🔴🇳🇱

▫️ Liverpool have offered £37m plus add-on up to potential £50m package to convince PSV, as first called by Paul Joyce.

▫️ Negotiations ongoing on personal terms as long term contract has been offered to the Dutch star.

▫️ Manchester United had green light on player side since August, but they have made no internal decision yet on bid to PSV.

▫️ Jurgen Klopp, now insisting on new winger in January as Luis Díaz impact one year ago made the difference.“

Liverpool always seem to identify and sign the right forward players. Depressing.

World Cup break yet everything comes back the same.

Arsenal win no matter whether they are good or poor? Check.

Newcastle continue good run? Check.

Liverpool continue their resurgence? Check.

Spurs keep making comebacks? Check.

Therefore Chelsea tomorrow...
