Serie A

Always keep an eye on the Serie A. Since Juventus' domination has ended a few years back, it's become interesting again.

Napoli are a brilliant outfit under Spalletti.

Sarri and Mourinho are doing reasonably well at Lazio and Roma respectively. Both have been in the job for about 15 months now.

glad to see sarri smiling

Wonder if that would be the headlines had Sarri stayed with us for another season and sticked around until now, although he'd probably just drive the bus back to Italy when the ownership problems began as he wouldn't want to deal with that load of sh*t of the government and the media.

they would start a campaign about stop smoking and ask him every week if he has stopped smoking

he hasn't

i kinda liked him, he really didn't give a f**k about what the media thought about him

in a way he's similar to Potter having worked his way all the way up. Minus all the neurotic superstitions that Sarri suffered from

also their defensive record is very good: haven't conceded in the Serie A for 6 games and only conceded 5 in 11 (2 against league leaders Napoli)

Apzi: The scenes would be simply ‘Mental!’ if Napoli won the title.

i'm going to watch this series set in Naples

i remember reading once that there was outrage that a new episode of this series came out at the same time as a Napoli game

the man who wrote the book where this series is based on has been forced into hiding for over a decade

Napoli leading 3-0 v Sassuolo 35mins into the game. Spalletti is a brilliant manager.

Kvaratskehlia is having a hell of a season, that is now 6 goals & 5 assists in 12 games. Someone is going to pay a huge fee for him in the summer.

Hope not, thankfully for Napoli their owner is no pushover and his hard line approach has kept them competing for a long time now since their rise from Serie C days. After Jorginho-gate, Man-City blacklisted Napoli and won’t speak to them again; so at least that’s one off the list. 😅

You have to admire everything they did with offloading Insigne, Koulibaly etc (to losers like us) and the level of squad building involved, truly the benchmark right now; the scouting that took place there is something to marvel at, truly.

I watched the first 2 seasons some years ago. I liked a character from an episode but it didn't go that well for him so I stopped watching. This is the official soundtrack:

@Term_X

I agree you have to give Napoli praise for the way they made business on the market this summer. They sold their topearner(Koulibaly) and let their other two topearners(Insigne, Mertens) plus the majority of their older players leave for free, replaced them effectively via good scouting, made a small profit on the market, lowered the cost of their squad significantly and improved as a team, kudos to them.

Spaletti drives a fiat panda and it was stolen in may and the Napoli Ultras made a banner that they would return the car if he would resign

he also has a pet duck and had a 2 year sabbatical on his Tuscan farm, when he got sacked by Inter and Conte replaced him

at one point Abramovich talked to him to become Chelsea manager but he didn’t feel it was the right move (and he doesn’t speak a word of English)
