He's not going to displace Caicedo or Gallagher as long as Pochettino is managing at least and there's no place for him in front of them either.

All depends on whether the owners sell Gallagher in January I guess, but right now I think you assertion is correct.

I don't think so, he only came on from the bench because he was injured, Pocchetino will most probably send him back to the starting eleven for the next game.

If there's one thing I'm extremely disappointed about when it comes to Poch is his utilisation of Enzo. I think Enzo is definitely a good player, I believe he's a fantastic player and can be one of the best. But It's just not working is it, he's had some good games earlier in the season but it started to go dry when Enzo was playing further forward. 

Now I've heard theories this is Enzo's doing, or Poch's doing, either way it doesn't matter. Pochettino should know how to use him properly. 

The sooner we get things clicking with our midfield the better, I really really hope it's just a matter of Enzo and Caicedo gelling.

Well I mean Caicedo is playing this lone 6 role (not his game) and Enzo is playing this CAM role (also not his game) just so Gallagher can seemingly have this free role of going wherever the f**k he wants. One of the reasons why our midfield looks so dysfunctional at times with Caicedo getting most of the blame.

Well our only DM is the injury prone 19 year old Lesley Ugochukwu.

Lavia is not a pure DM, and even more injury prone.

You don't need to be a pro manager to understand where Enzo best position is but there are 10 other players that you need to think about. 

This is not team full of superstar player who can do multiple things, most of our player can only play one role so you need other player who can be more flexible to compensate.

If so I think it's a huge failure on the part of Poch.

Enzo looked magnificent, real class, until the past couple of months. Thought Poch was here to develop young players, not make them regress.

Caicedo and Gallagher both need to play in the free role to play to their best. Difference is Gallagher is currently better than Caicedo.

None of these players are at the level to have a free role. A lot falls on Caicedo's positional awareness with and without the ball. Especially in build up.

The Gallagher situation reminds me a bit of Ramires a decade ago.

He was also getting best player shouts when we were a flawed side but once we were equipped to challenge again he was a (very good) rotation player.

Caicedo is an incredible athlete that hasn't used an ounce of the ability he has in a Chelsea shirt to date.

Suppose its easier to say someone is being a hater than just admitting he's currently underperforming.

Made it quite clear he hasn’t been anywhere near his best but the criticism is well over the top, particularly when he isn’t putting any worse score ratings than Declan Rice who some members have been circle jerking for since 2020. 
 

This is also not even considering he’s being treated like Kante ala Lampard whilst having to make up the space left by Gallagher on his mythical runs aswell as the lack of pace in Disasi and Silva behind him.

An okay performance against one of the worst starting 11's the Premier league has ever seen.

Nearly cost us points the game before by leaving his man back stick against Palace but i guess the internet said it was a green rating so its okay. 

I'm sure he'll look better if Lavia ever regains fitness or if Poch plays Enzo next to him rather than next to the striker. 

As i said in summer he's a fantastic athlete. Just another project to add to the ever growing list of projects though. Bring on 2026.

Evident this issue is down to coaching when genuinely everyone in the squad has been guilty of this at some point this season.

I do agree Poch's methods (or lack thereof) are a main cause. 

I think confidence is probably another one, i want to see him have the same confidence and aggression he had in the Brighton shirt. That's down to him, still young so he's got a season to settle and gain stature within the squad. Becoming Ecuador captain will probably do him some good too.

I reckon both Enzo & Caicedo are carrying injuries, but we just don’t have the back ups to rotate at the moment so they have to play through it
