Certainly yes to Carlo.

Carlo has proven how much of a f**k up sacking him was every season since.

I think we'd also take Conte back. His league win is still one of our best trophy wins in recent years.

I agree that it is a pass for me, as his time has surely passed now and he does have different philosophy.

But I do hate this revising history and calling decisions of the past as being sh*t. I assume this is mainly coming from our younger members.

Jose Mourinho the individual,  the tactician and the man manager was revolutionary in this country and stands as one of the finest managers we ever had. We won trophies...immediately,  we competed in the market and he ruffled the feathers of rival managers that we as fans loved.

My memory may be a bit patchy now but as I remember it KDB was not put out on loan by Mourinho as he wanted him in and around the squad. He played at the beginning of the season and then we heard of a training ground issue. If I remember from what was reported at the time KDB was already stating he should be a constant first team starter  at a time that we had real senior players. Similarly when Salah moved on he wasn't deemed to be good enough with what we has then. So Salah went on and improved. I could easily name a dozen youngsters that never made it here and went on to do nothing. Similarly I could name a bunch of kids that didn't make it here that did go on to do better elsewhere.  It happens everywhere.

I don't want Mourinho back, his time is past, the mentality of the players is different nowadays and it is questionable that he would get the best out the players we have, but this narrative that Mourinho is a football killer and stifles opportunities for kids, is just unfair.

I am sure you will al, think of numerous examples to contradict me but I can only think of Foden getting through the ranks at City during Guardiola's time and he's head and shoulders above anyone apparently. That Cole something kid is just breaking through now and frankly I don't think he'll make it either

Football doesn't stand still, things have moved on since Mourinho.  He will (obviously) always be a legend at this club but hiring him now would simply be a step backwards.  I am still excited about Potter, in time he will give us attractive competitive football, and when he does a 'few' on here are going to have to eat some humble pie.  Some are even going to have to change their member names.

People refer to it being the third time should it come to pass. Obviously that is irrelevant as it's different owners and different players. It's a totally different club apart from we the supporters and Billy the kit man. Trouble is that Jose ain't a long term option. We'd maybe get a season of moderate success with a league cup then the changing room dissatisfaction would reappear and we'd be back to square one regarding the rebuild. We began the trend of the short term, hire them and fire them mentality twenty years ago. Hopefully we're moving away from this with the new owners and developing a different way to achieve success. Whether the present manager will drive us there is up for argument but hopefully it may lead to a more settled period at the club albeit probably without the concentrated number of trophies we've been used to given the larger number of teams now with the finances to compete at the very top level.

We need to look forward.

Im excited about the type of player we are now signing and am behind Potter. As players return from injury and new players folded in, there is a sense the culture of the club is turning (for the better). Potter now appears committed to a back four (although will be interesting once Reece and Chilwell are fully fit), which makes more space for some new attacking talent.

Must be a really quiet weekend for a story like this, and I haven't seen anything with a little bit of evidence to suggest it may happen ( happy to be corrected if I missed it). As much as I'm not a fan of Potter, it's really disrespectful for him to have a rumor like this floating around. Jose's second coming was a bit of disaster to be honest ( despite that title), his time at the top end of the league is over a few years ago. I know we aren't a big team right now, but getting him back won't do much good, it will be another rebuild with a manager who's not that special anymore.

Loved Conte's title winning season.

His second season, attitude and talent ID are horrific though. Makes Mourinho look reasonable most the time.,

Yeah he seems a difficult character. Still he gets results! Even with the whole place falling apart we still won an FA Cup.

I'd rather Jose back than Conte. Conte would destroy everything we are doing.

To be clear, I don't want Jose back either, at all.

He has an utterly remarkable skill for playing the victim. Was with a Spurs fan last week in a social event and asked him about Conte and he repeated almost word for word some of the excuses that were being rolled out here in season 2.

Also his treatment of Spence further destroys the myth the likes of Bakayoko, Zappacosta and Morata were forced of him, there's not a snowball in hells chance he'd have kept persisting with them if they were.

This is so stupid. Hope Todd doesn't take note of this.

Regardless of how bad Potter is, No to Mourinho and whoever that has managed Chelsea in the past.

Mourinho was born to manage Roma.
