August 3, 20232 yr Mudryk has looked very bright since he came on. And working hard when we aren't in possession.
August 3, 20232 yr Very poor challenge from James, might well have been a red in the league. We should be a goal up sure the Xg is over 1. Think Gallagher over all has been the best of all the pivots in pre season and continued that into this game. A little bit of the Jackson bubble popped in that half although still didn't play badly. Other than leaving huge amounts of space down our right when they attack the defence has looked very solid. Colwill really stiffens up that left side nicely.

Kepa Gusto Chalobah Humphreys Cucurella Ugochukwu Casadei Angelo Moreira Hall Sterling
August 3, 20232 yr Jackson should have perhaps got a couple? Colwill should have scored. The pitch is awful and maybe even dangerous? Nkunku had to go off - precaution. Gallagher putting himself about. Jackson, Mudryk and Chukwuemeka showing flashes, but they all need to get more involved. They are kids. Sterling doing his usual half assed performance. Chillwell solid. James quiet. This could go to penalties. Yep. Yes it could.
August 3, 20232 yr Sterling's decision making at times is so poor, although overall he hasn't played too badly
August 3, 20232 yr Given the amount of minutes these lads have played imagine this is close to what our starting line up will be against Liverpool

August 3, 20232 yr I'm sorry to bang on, but can someone please explain to me what Sterling adds to the team because I just can't see it. The one thing he had in his prime was the ability to go past opponents. He just cannot do that anymore and most times he won't even try. Technically he was never brilliant, particularly in terms of passing, and now so many promising moves breakdown when he gets the ball. He is another player who came into the EPL very young and is now burnt out.

Another big money signing on big money wages with not much left in the tank, and no willingness to even try to muster what’s left. Edited August 3, 20232 yr by SimonH
