Team a takes the first then team b the next two and so on. 

They tried this didn't they? And it was sh*te I think it was this system when we lost to City in the league cup final a few years back.

From a sporting perspective yes, but it's not as watchable 

Its not as intense and kills the game rather just keep the rules the same

I think it's fine as it is.

A suggestion once was that if a player misses a penalty he has to take the next one for his team !

And so on till he scores

It was Arsenal in the community shield.

And yes it was sh*t.

Nah. It’s been tried and it was sh*t. Might as well draw straws. 

No need to change something that's working, a bit of lottery and drama. Saw those penalties in the WWC, amazed how many of them tried the perfect penalties, when a shot just on target would have beaten most GKs

How about scrapping penalties and just play sudden death until next team scores? NHL (Ice Hockey) does that effectively in their playoffs and it seems fairer. Some games can go on for a while but there is an incentive for both teams to attack in that scenario.

It's been tried. Golden goal. Both teams play ultra defensively to avoid shipping the goal.
