In the PL the level is so high you need a basic level of technique to play if you don't have it you can't be trusted on the pitch to get the time to develop and Mudryk doesn't have it which is why the 3 coaches he's had at this level haven't trusted him. Agree it was a stupid signing. Mitoma had an upward trajectory in the Japanese league and then on loan to the Belgian league. He's now the best winger in the league after Salah. Mudryk is raw. I'd rather see Mudryk get minutes, make mistakes and learn, than to see Chilwell offer nothing at LW other than whiffing chances and being too afraid to shoot three feet in front of the keeper. What are we doing here? Can't ask a man who isn't an accountant to do your taxes. Such an awful decision to bring all of these wingers here if the plan wasn't to have the actual patience to develop them.

Get him started and atleast give him a decent chance to show why the club paid all that money for him. I honestly think if he gets a run if games he will start to tear it up.
September 3, 20232 yr Depressingly familiar stats yesterday 77% possession yet the opposition had more shots on target , 3 to our 2 Someone described our attack or build up as " frantic" and it has got an element of that in it. Poch has got to get used to some players that he probably doesn't know that much about, the preseason set up looked well good , I hope he settles on a system and players and sticks to it. Very soon please Poch !

You won't get booed out of the building if the fans see you trying develop a talented attacking side. You will if you keep this defensive carp up without results. We are sick of being bored to death and losing each week.
September 4, 20232 yr Was on a ✈️ when match was on, watched the HL twice. Jackson hasn’t got the experience to lead the line yet, he shows potential but in this league strikers to score now in the moment in at least every other game. Not currently at that plus imagine the pressure the kids under with that blue shirt on. Can’t fault his effort but he like so many other squad members (we’re still at 30 with 10 on the treatment table) hasn’t the nous that only comes by lots of games in competitive leagues like our EPL. it’s true these young players have potential, but playing moneyball asset value creation with an EPL franchise on a clean slate all round that you cleared purposefully, it’s pure folly, I’d say there’s enough talent in the squad to remain safe in the league but on current showing this is last seasons form continued albeit with a bit more verve and attacking fluidity. But as said above there’s not enough EPL savvy players in the squad and every other one of the competing teams is brimming with them so the team is naturally gonna struggle playing all EPL teams. patience is a virtue but from what I can see there’s little room for it in ultra competitive EPL, UEFA & FIFA footy, winning teams have experienced playing staff backing them up nearly always.

Will be interesting to see if, in 9 years, Clearlake do end up making money off us, or not.

Experience got nothing to do with it. How ready your game is more important than experience. Enzo has only 1 season worth of European football and he is already a nailed down starter.
September 4, 20232 yr Mudryk is mentally weak, hes not dealing with the pressure at all. How long do you keep giving minutes to a player who is performing soooo badly? Lets not lose sight of the fact mudryk is not a kid, he'll be 23 in a matter of months. Late developer or just not good enough? Truth is we could take a raw 18 year old winger out of our youth team and stick them in the first team and i guarantee they would not be any worse than mudryk.
September 4, 20232 yr Misha is over the hill at 23 and he is mentally weak. . . lol. Come on, relax. A little patience please. At least until we have actually seen more.

I can't believe Mudryk Madueke, Palmer, or Maatsen are any less ready than Chilwell making our left attacking flank redundant and refusing to shoot 3 feet in front of the keeper. Team sheet against Bournemouth can't come soon enough.

If I have a doubt it is that he too often seems to be a "head down" type of player that lacks the awareness to see the right pass/option. He has bags of speed and skill but he needs to be coached to apply it right.

I understand the system that Poch is trying to play but even with that Chilwell is better suited to playing the role currently handled by Colwill. I would play 2 of the CB's and leave Chilwell covering the left of defense. Then have an actual winger covering the LW. Maatsen based on pre-season probably.

Chilwell at LB is more or less the same thing Chilwell is doing now, which is going up and down the left flank. Only difference is that he's by himself with no left forward/winger, which again makes our left flank utterly redundant. The amount of times I saw Sterling in 1 v 3 situations and Jackson the only one in the box.
