Buying well would be surrounding young players with experienced players that know what it takes to compete at the top. They f**ked up massively, don't understand the sport they are involved in and genuninely thought we could compete at this level with players with less than 100 games to their name. We just spent £40m+5m in add ons on a player that has played 44 career games, most of them being from the bench. I'm fed up with so many people pretending or thinking this is completely normal, it's not. If it was, then everybody else would be doing it. You can't fill a team up with a bunch of kids and win games in the Premier League, it's impossible. THIS

Maybe we should have signed a goalkeeper that wasn`t just a mid table back-up and a proven, goal-scoring striker? Just maybe.

September 2, 20232 yr Don’t know what I just witnessed. That was dreadful on every level. All that money spent and we have one raw striker in the squad. A left back playing as left winger. A midfield that has no goals in it. And a 39 year old centre back that the manager is too scared to drop so sets up the team to protect his lack of pace. This is just nonsense from Poch. He has badly misjudged these opening games and this is the easy part of the season. We need to move to a more progressive style of play, especially against teams like Nottingham Forest. We can’t carry on like this. Nkunku is out for a long time and Poch’s solution to play three at the back with Chilwell as left winger, has been a disaster.
September 2, 20232 yr It’s going to be a roller coaster of a season and I’m already sick , a team that is totally unbalanced and already mismanaged Some weird and strange decisions by porch and his back room staff
September 2, 20232 yr My concern is that we are losing games which, at the worst, we should be getting a draw from. This young team can easily lose any self-believe they might have had and go on spiralling losses to anyone same as last season...my worry that we might be at relegation battle this year...
September 2, 20232 yr From the BBC: Elanga, signed from boyhood club Manchester United for £15m in July, displayed speed and composure as he darted down the middle of the Chelsea defence and rolled the ball past Robert Sanchez after Moises Caicedo [£115m from Brighton] conceded possession. What is going on?
September 2, 20232 yr Was out all day, but I hear we were sh*t again. TOp half finish gunna be hard this season. Maybe another billion and we can make it.
September 2, 20232 yr I thought we hit rock bottom against West Ham, but we keep digging. After so many failed players and coaches lately there must be something wrong with management.
September 2, 20232 yr Sometimes a team of great young talented players will play like a bunch of . . .children. We have to be patient. I think we also have to play on the front foot. Start with a back 4. We do not need 3 CBs. We might concede more goals doing this, but we will score some. You cannot win anything with kids. . . I prefer our failures this year to last season, because at least this time round we can blame the inexperience of youth rather than players merely not giving a sh1t.
September 2, 20232 yr I missed the 2nd half but we need to give it a bit of time. If we're still sh*t by Christmas then we've real problems.
September 2, 20232 yr Newsflash - we've got a new manager with a totally new team. Unfortunately we will have other days like this in the coming season. The fact we're in the midst of an injury crisis makes it even harder. Positives We were the better side by a long way, dominating possession and being in control of the game pretty much throughout. Negatives We didn't score, missed several decent chances Jackson had a very poor game (it happens) Individuals mistakes for their goal Couldn't break down an 11 man defence I do agree with those saying we need to ditch the back 3. Pointless having so many defenders when the opposition park the bus.
September 2, 20232 yr 4 points form 3 home games and the only decent team we gave played is Liverpool. Performance was like watching Potterball again.

September 2, 20232 yr In buying up all the supposedly best young talent how come we miss Evan Ferguson playing in the position we are at our weakest. We really are run by a bunch of wasters who are playing with our club like its an American Football team.
September 2, 20232 yr Poch saying In the presser about not being clinical enough, how many times have we heard that in the past few years it’s ridiculous our lot can’t finish a happy meal
September 2, 20232 yr You just knew that we had to give them 3 points while they had only won once in their last 21 away games
