September 2, 20232 yr f**king hell. Thank f**k for the international break. On the bright side, I liked the look of Palmer when he came on.
September 2, 20232 yr Never, in the field of battle, has so much been spent, by so few, on so many, to achieve so little.
September 2, 20232 yr It's hardly a surprise this was coming. Those who were worried and called "whiners" because of it had and has a major point. There are a whole host of reasons why one should be worried about not only this season but also the long-term future. And not just as a top club competing for trophies, I think they have done a lot to sink those chances for the foreseeable future but financial trouble will one day rear it's ugly head the way we are operating.
September 2, 20232 yr I can’t agree with a back 5 with this squad. Nor playing colwill at left back. We ended the game with Mudryk, sterling Jackson madueke and Palmer. The result was Mudryk on the right, sterling on the right, madueke on the right. No structure. we started the game too conservative and came out of the shed in h2 not ready. that’s all on Poch.
September 2, 20232 yr All of them were poor. Can't give anyone any sort of praise - that is one of the most passive abysmal performances I have seen. Just when we think we've hit our low, we find new depths. I thought Poch would be brave enough to bring positivity to Chelsea, but this insistence on playing 8-9 defensive players is beyond exhausting. Our attacking play - there are no words for how slow, sideways, and ineffective it is. We snatch at shots, mish*t crosses, misplace forward passes, and any time we get in behind we just stop and go back. We are the easiest team to play against in the Premier League. Week in week out we see the same stuff. I'm honestly losing the will to watch this after 40+ years.

Why should I get behind this? I'm watching the self destruction of 25 years of putting Chelsea amongst the best. These owners turned us into one of the worst teams in the league in less than a year. I've never seen a football club so badly managed in such quick time in all my life. I can't disagree with much of this right now. I do think the team will improve with experience but the owners gambled a massive amount on potential and presumably need European football quite quickly to balance the books. Not sure how that strategy works without some experienced players to balance things.
September 2, 20232 yr £1 billion spent on players and our attacking game plan is get the ball wide and cross it in to Disasi.
September 2, 20232 yr 1 minute ago, Roland The Bruin said: Atleast we signed another forward yesterday. I mean who needs a striker that can score a f**king goal Sign 15 forwards and then only play Sterling every game
September 2, 20232 yr That was a disappointing performance. Losing Nkunku is looking more and more like a huge loss. Palmer showed some flashes of brilliance so I'm hoping he can step into that role and Enzo can play a bit further back. I've seen Jackson do better on his ball control but today was all kinds of awful.
September 2, 20232 yr Getting really tired of watching us pass the ball to Sterling and pray he does something with it. The lack of creativity from this team is stunning.
September 2, 20232 yr It's my birthday today...im 56...I've been supporting Chelsea for 50yrs now and all I wished for when I blew the candles 🕯 out on my cake 🎂 was...."I want my old Chelsea back"....💙
September 2, 20232 yr Say it again. New Team new gaffer new staff. Poor today and none too convincing for the previous 3 league games. Only hope is that we get our injured players back sooner rather than later. Not too worried at the moment but a few more games like that and it's gonna be a difficult season. KTBFFH
September 2, 20232 yr Repeat of West Ham Defend deep and disciplined and Chelsea simply haven't a clue how to break a team down Starting the game with intensity is a must, far too many Blues teams are content to keep possession instead of getting their opponents on the back foot Cowardly defensive tactics don’t help This team is very young with very little know how or guile Poch has set them up more positively and try to coach some attacking flair

But we couldn’t score as well. this team is too inexperienced and it will take a lot of time Same feeling. And same as the game vs. WestHam. The team is too young and don's know what to do after conceded a goal.
September 2, 20232 yr sh*t tactics, inexperienced players that may or may not be good enough now or in the future, 1 billion spent and look as bad as ever, very worrying

It started before TT, who worked miracles to win us the UCL, but who by the end had lost the plot. It has been bad for a long time. It won't take 5mins to fix Things were up and down with Abramovich, but f**king hell, there was never a point where I thought there was a chance this club would be ruined under him. Here's how bad the "rot" was under Abramovich, I thought the worst possible outcome under his ownership was a year or two outside of Champions League football. Under the new ownership, I think it's so bad that we can get relegated and end up financially ruined. I never once considered that a possibility under Abramovich.

September 2, 20232 yr Seems like we're too easy to play against - Forest did what West Ham did and it paid off again... Didn't take our chances 😞 But we were a bit slow today and too much passing it sideways.

I think this process is going to take time. My biggest criticism of Poch right now though is the back 3, it needs to go ASAP. It's just making us worse at this point. We had a good pre-season with the way we were playing, only to revert to a back 3 again? Why? This season is about developing and setting a pattern of play, we don't need to be playing with 3 defenders. 2 minutes ago, Scott Harris said: Yeah, we have to accept the sh*t apparently, but the same people telling us this were telling us it was so terrible under Tuchel. I've never seen a football club so badly managed in such quick time in all my life. Very frustrating I agree, quite a few on here who have that attitude, you won't hear it from me though. I'm disappointed but I still think we can have a good season, we just need more time.
September 2, 20232 yr We got rid of Mount, Havertz, Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Ziyech, Pulisic, RLC, Azpi, Auba. Spent £1billion and bought Enzo, Mudryk, Caicedo, Lavia, Jackson, Palmer, Nkunku, Ugochukwu, Gusto. Apart from Enzo and Nkunku, whose injured, we haven’t upgraded in any areas. Overall on paper were weaker. The signings are for the future, there’s no guarantee any of them will come good and we shouldnt expect to do much better than last season. It’s a clear strategy which won’t reap immediate results and there is also a big risk of failure.

Jackson had a rough day today but that happens with younger players. He should still have had an assist there at the end if Sterling had kept his composure.
