Sconnie Blue Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Lavia, Neto & Jackson are the only ones I'd rest.

That sure he is going to talk himself in to a yellow eh? I wi also ask, if we are not going to use Marc Guiu, who is better suited to play as out striker after Nico, Nkunku or Felix? Maresca needs a forward that presses. Felix seems to be getting that, Nkunku not so much. Maybe Nkunku behind Felix is better than the other way around. Edited December 4, 2024 by axman2526
Gordon Bennett Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I wouldn't rest anyone. This lot have had enough rest what with the rotation for Europe along with all the international breaks. Put the best team out and get the win, get the points in the bag. guddy69 and The Rising Sun 2

I'm 98% sure Jackson will get a yellow card at Spurs (given its Taylor and he gave 9 yellow cards last time out) and I'd rather Jackson miss Brentford at home than Spurs away. No need to take the risk tonight as Nkunku can get the job done. Guiu is just too raw.

The Rising Sun Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Let's hope the traditional December dip in form is a thing from the past... ""Tuchel has been asked to consider a suggestion that dips in form and results in the middle of winter is a recurring Chelsea theme in recent years.‘"

It's a shame because he could have got a lot more playing time

Someone recently posted Nkunku has done best in his career as the right sided attacker. Neto we agree should be left out. So we could, if Jackson is rested, go with: Nkunku Palmer Sancho Felix.
Munkunku Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I hope we beat these pricks so bad their whole sh*thole of a city ceases to exist.
Sconnie Blue Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Nizaar hinting we rotated a lot... axman2526 1

Andy2461 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Omg I did not expect that colwill on the bench
Andy2461 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Team to play Southampton: Jorgensen; Gusto, Disasi, Tosin, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Felix; Nkunku.
Argo Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 We've got the balance spot on with the midfield and attack rotation but not atall comfortable with that many changes at the back. Scott Harris 1
axman2526 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 Oh boy. West Ham level of rotation last night. Did not go so well for them.

I'm dreading it tbh ! I'm glad Maresca pointed out how difficult this game is at his press conference yesterday. Come on you BLUES! Don’t think that will happen tonight. Brentford has been a difficult fixture for us over the last few years so it might be against them where we drop points . Even if we beat Spurs and Saints I fully expect a defeat or a couple of draws on our “easy” run of games before we play City away. If we do win them all until then we’ll be at worst 2nd in the table with top 4 almost guaranteed. The Rising Sun 1

axman2526 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 Don't think he trusts the line up, otherwise Neto, Jackson and Lavia would have stayed home.
axman2526 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 So the line up is likely meaning Gusto as the 10 again... Jorgensen Disasi Tosin Cucurella Caciedo Enzo Madueke Gusto Palmer Felix Nkunku
axman2526 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 Seen Miz on "the other side of the coin" suggesting it could actually going to line up this way Jorgensen Gusto Tosin Disasi Caicedo Enzo Madueke Nkunku Palmer Cucurella Felix
