Ahem...where did this come from?

I am paying for every goal The Donkey scores.  Not just the ones that matter.... To be fair, he has scored more important goals over the last few months, wheras last season it was goal 14 and 15 in a 16v0 win (for example).

But...regardless...for Mods retirement fund, I am contributing a tenner for every goal - even if they dont matter.

Starting from 28th September - running until the last game of the season - Every time Wacko scores a game changing goal, I will donate £10 to theshedend.  This covers EPL games only.

For clarity, 'game changing' means a) an opening goal b) a winning goal c) a goal that moves us to 2 in front (i.e the 2nd goal to take us 2v0 ahead) d) an equaliser  e) any goal in a drawn game (not own goals).   It does not include 'fluff' goals (i.e goal 5 in a 5v0 win).  Exceptions will be made for hatricks (i.e in a 3v0 win, the third goal would not usually count....but in the highly unlikely instance that Wacko scored a hatrick - then I will graciously include it...."

He's definitely treating players differently from others and it's been noticeable since he arrived. Just listen to how he speaks about Sanchez.

Everyone probably reacts differently.

Sanchez likely has the mentality of Bakayoko so for Maresca to publicly bash him would be detrimental. Maybe he sees Madueke as the type to thrive off of it.

I think we can say Jim has broadened the scale of what he'll pay out on.

I definitely think Jacko's growing on Jim you know.

Oh, he's growing on me, all right - like a stubborn fungal infection I can't quite shake off. At first, I thought it was just a mild irritation, but now I'm considering antibiotics and maybe a restraining order.

I remember this. I think!

It was changed to every goal because no way was I going to trust the "game changing" part in rgds to wacko. Lol

I remembered we disagreed and you said fine, every goal; not as if he would score many...something like that, or maybe I added that last bit. Bloody hell mate I can't remember anymore.

You and your wacko obsession have buggered up my memory!

Jackson deserves it. He is a c**t. A rubbish one at that.

Mate, that's your mirror you're shouting at. The incredibly talented Chelsea footballer named Jackson, is just over there.....doing even better than Didier at the same stage, and showing serious skill on the ball..................

I wish people would stop saying this, as its blatantly bullsh*t.

First two completed seasons In the league, Drogba played 55 matches for 22 goals. Jackson has so far played 48 games in the league for 22 goals. In his first two seasons in the FA and league cups, Drogba played 10 matches for 2 goals.  Jackson has played 9 matches for 3 goals.

Jackson is only half way through his second season. He is doing better than Drogba. The fact that Drogba's first two seasons coincided with the incredible success of the team under The Special One, is probably shading your memory.

According to Wikipedia Drogba scored 16 goals in all competitions in each of his first two seasons. The first season included 2 in the Charity Sheild.

Jackson got 17 last year and is on track to better that tally this season.

Drogba is an all time Chelsea great but was in a much better side than Jackson.

Didi is probably the most iconic Chelsea player of that period but I remember he also had his faults. He frequently got caught offside and on some occasions I thought he had been taken out by a sniper after a tackle.

It does give Jackson something to aim for but let's see how that goes before we start writing him off.

Agreed, I think young Didier can go onto achieve great things if we give him a chance.

I think you also have to factor in that Jackson is doing all this at a much earlier stage in his career,

When Drogba was Jackson's age (23) , he was playing for Le Mans in French Division 2 ... Drogba was 26 when he signed for Chelsea, and had turned 27 before the end of that first season with us. Peak age for a striker is generally reckoned to be 27. Drogba was a relatively late bloomer, and had his most productive season with us when he was 31/32, the Ancelotti title-winning season in 2009/10, when he scored 29 goals in 32 PL appearances, and 37 in 44 overall. Bar two great seasons, Drogba wasn't really a heavy scorer (only scoring 13-16 in 6 of the 8 seasons from 04/05 to 11/12), but his all round play was obviously top drawer.

Some stats I totally agree are useless. For example how many times I've wanted to punch someone this year compared to last year. But some stats are actually very useful and tbh the whole point/argument of looking them up in the first place for comparisons, like goals and assists.

When comparing goalscorers or #9's I think those stats are very important. Lol

I don't care how many times he dyes his hair blue or goes on to pornhub, only fans or fkn tinder or whatever...I care about how some kid is playing for our club. He's better this season than his first and he's on track to be a top striker.

Stop moaning...accept we have a pretty decent #9 and support the fker. It's not fkn rocket science. 🤣

*p.s. my youngest stayed home from school today and I'm exhausted. I want to sleep till Sunday. I'm also losing the will to care what others think about jacko (or anything else at this point) and I'm just going to resort to the roll eyes emoji from now on.  (Until other emojis are available). Cheers.

*p.p.s. @Mod can we get more emojis pls bud? The finger, blowing a raspberry and facepalm pls. I think that covers all the jacko posts mate. Or how about a wacko jacko emoji?

Ah good, we're just basing everything on stats as usual..

Nah. I am a real fan, In. addition to cheering on every one of our players for every minute they are Chelsea, and only slagging them off when they are playing with another team, I do understand a whole bunch more about them than just stats.

Drogba came to us on the back of a damn fine highlights reel. he was clearly an up and at 'em monster. He looked the part - big, athletic, highly mobile, and deceptively skillful. We spent the first season watching him apply for the Côte d'Ivoire diving team, and either scoring a miracle goal, or killing yet another fan in Row Z. Didier's  great advantage over Jackson in those first two seasons was,  1/ Jose Mourinho's absolute and very public belief in him, 2/ Frank Lampard  3/ JT, the greatest Captain the premier has ever seen 4/ An amazing squad of manageable numbers, containing far fewer players eligible for their nation's under 21 team than the one we have now. He also had the knack of scoring the one goal that we needed, even when he had spent 89 minutes of the game flogging a dead horse.

I got it. In full flow he was just magnificent, and he scored a number of goals of the type I doubt Jackson could ever replicate - think 25 yard, control, turn, shoot- at Spurs, Liverpool, and Arsenal.  We were high on winning, and Didier was a man who wore his love for Chelsea on his sleeve. What was not to love ( we did still have concerns about him though, even in year two). It still took until 2009 before the talk about Didier finally turned to the subject of statues and sainthood, and then 2012 before even God agreed.

Jackson doesn't have the fanfare:  He has instead inherited the confusion and frustration of the whole Boehly era.  The excessively large squad of kids all looking for a leader, and trying to figure out who their colleagues even are. And yet, statistically he is right there with Didier, and even a little ahead. He knows he's a footballer and we have been blessed with not having to pay a lifeguard to watch over him in the penalty area. ( you may not recall just how seriously we were pissed at Didier for that sh*t) His skill set, if you bother to look real close, is utterly phenomenal,. and there has no doubt in my mind that he gives 100% for the team, 100 percent of the time. He's a different character, but he is Chelsea and absolutely worthy of respect from a Chelsea Fan.

Drogba was a big reason we won the EPL title. And that first season, I think you have forgotten that he was out for a significant period of time with a very serious injury. He returned and also scored a for us in a league cup final win against our major rivals Liverpool. You shouldn't really have forgotten, he near always scored in finals

Big up Jackson all you want fella, I think there is a potential player in there too, but don't piss on Drogba. It makes you look a twat.

I didn't pass on Drogba, he is stil on my study wall, and I need no reminding of how he played, or if he played, in each of the seasons he played for us, as  I was generally there to see it. Try actually reading the post you were commenting on in its entirety and understand it in the way it was intended.  I would also suggest that you left out at least ten other players that were the main reason we won the EPL in his first season. They were all brilliant under a. brilliant manager. Jose. Which makes you...... whatever you are! 😉 Remember, we are only talking about each player's first two seasons at Chelsea!

If we now go on a winning spree for the next few seasons, and Jackson scoring and assists continue to improve, you will look back at his career with us as if you never had a doubt in your mind about his place as a great Chelsea player..............
