Southampton trio Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Flynn Downes and Tyler Dibling all serve a one-match ban on Wednesday for accumulating five bookings this season.

Loanee Lesley Ugochukwu is ineligible to face his parent club but Jan Bednarek returns after missing the last two games, while Paul Onuachu could also be fit.

The question is will Maresca play the Cup team or mix it up, and play a few from here and there.

It's matchday and even after a few days of thinking about this, I still have this feeling it will be mostly the cup team.

Regardless...looking forward to this.

Wtf did I say!!!

Now I'm laying kittens until the final whistle ffs. Pls pls pls let this be easy on my heart!

Maybe I personally overrate Saints a bit, I know they have important missings, but still, that many changes away in the PL is a bit risky. Hopefully I am wrong and we thump them five nil. Although Tosin and Disasi don't strike me with much confidence to get a clean sheet.

Up the Blues!!! :bluescalf::bluescalf::bluescalf:

The only thing that calms me down a bit with this lineup, is cucu, caicedo and Palmer.

I really do admire and agree with what he's doing so he can integrate some of the pl team to play in the knockouts. But this is definitely not good for my heart.

Just wish a few more from the PL team to be in the line up.

Ballsy move by Maresca that could easily backfire, but it was the right thing to do imo.

If we manage to get a comfy lead by HT, I expect Palmer and Caicedo to be subbed off early. Maybe even Enzo.

Come on!

I know he’s got an eye on Tottenham but the players all rested for the European game, is he taking Southampton a bit light? Any PL team with a low block will give you trouble

He doesn’t strike me like the type of manager to take games likely. So I believe in his mind he believes in the players on the pitch and they should win this game.

Maybe he has picked Jorgensen expecting the defence he picked will let in goals. This way he protects Sanchez?

With Felix, Madueke, Palmer and Nkunku all playing Maresca may well feel however many we let in, we will score more?

He needs to keep all the players fit, happy and up on game time.

We know he's done the job of team A and B playing the same way, with the idea he can swap players with minimum disruption. But we all agree the subs team isn't really as good as the first team and it worries me...

Also felix and Enzo jnr have much improved in the last few games. Hopefully they can show how much today.

Come on nkunku, Madueke, etc...time to cut out the issues and really fight for your PL spots.
