All I'm reading about is how sh*t the PL has become - it's coming from all quarters.

Obviously, we've had a sh*t few seasons since BlueCo took over, but majority of clubs supporters are all saying the same thing (with exception of Gooners as they've never had it so good). The PL has become DULL. And as if the boing football wasn't enough, when you add in all the price increases, VAR and questionable running of the PL by the FA, how long before the bubble bursts?

Supporters of Everton, Forest and Leicester who have all seen points deductions for their teams, must rightly be pissed off when we only suffered a hefty fine yesterday and City are still not being penalised for their 115 charges. It's all a bit of a mess.

The FIL is a Wolves fan, he’s genuinely excited for next season knowing they won’t be in this league. I honestly share his optimism, the Championship is so much more tactically varied and without VAR killing every games momentum.

The Premier League has been on a slow decline the past 5 or so years I’d say. The more everyone has become an interpretation of Pep, the worse it’s become. The pinnacle is the football Arteta is churning out at Arsenal, they’ll be the worst ‘spectator’ Champions the leagues ever seen but you can’t argue with results.

I doubt the Premier League will ever reach those mid 00’s to mid 10’s highs ever again where all the ‘Big’ sides have different footballing philosophies and the smaller sides play to their own strengths and not the ‘system’.

Serie A is a great watch, Ligue 1 throws up some absolute classics, the Bundesliga & La Liga are predictable on the whole but once again a better spectator sport than the Premier League. Hell even the Liga Portugal is miles ahead.

Gooners will take the success however it is achieved this season. It's just like us when Mourinho took over. We didn't care how we won the league as long as we won it.

Not saying that Mourinho side was tedious like Arsenal now. We played some brilliant stuff. But after the first season, I do remember starting to get fed up with how we would see out a lot of 1-0's and the football did take a turn for the worse. And Roman clearly got fed up with it and I can recall it was widely reported that he wanted to see us win playing more exciting football.

If next season, Arsenal are still winning games due to set-pieces and boring football, even their supporters will turn.

The PL has definitely decreased in quality. I was watching a large part of a game between Utd and Liverpool from about 20 years ago. What stood out to me was the lack of passing backwards and sideways. The wide attacker gets the ball and either looks for the forward pass (the teammate would make the correct and positive runs too), tries to take on his man, or tries to find space and go for goal. These days it seems that teams are more reluctant to attack, than they are to defend. Defending has become the go to for so many teams, especially in the big games. I don't know why I continue to get excited for the big games because they only ever end up as borefests with both teams playing pedestrian football.

Most things tend to be cyclical. I think the Premier League will definitely lose its appeal in time as the product is overhyped and overpriced. At some point the financial model will become insustainable and it won't be pretty.

Premier League is facing strong criticism after poor results in Europe, and the main problem is not the busy match calendar, but the mismanagement of a huge financial advantage.

Although English clubs spent more last summer than Serie A, the Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1 combined, they risk a massive elimination from the Champions League.

Is the 5th spot for Champions League football still safe? After this season, Premier League clubs don't deserve it. Personally, I don't think any country should have 5 and especially not 6 teams in Europe. 4 should be the maximum.

We are way in front so the 5th spot should be still safe - especially with Arsenal not playing any decent teams into they get to the semi finals.

As with most things in football it’s all down to money with that 5th spot.

Even with a top 5 spot up for grabs we’re struggling badly this season.

Only Spain could possibly threaten the 5th spot.
