While Jackson was the obvious case, Fofana was IMO a misjudgment on his part (being nice here).Neto was also, evidently, at fault--he was very late on the tackle--but I suspect there’s a sprinkle of tiredness in the mix, as some players are being overplayed.

Not sure what is even worse, the fact he didn't know he was on a yellow, or he knew and still made that pointless challenge so far up the pitch. The fact Rosenior said these players would be punished yet at the first chance he throws Fofana back in, makes everything he says from now on just white noise. So why hasn't Enzo been dropped after stinker after stinker? Why was Santos dropped for having 1 bad game in ages?
March 4Mar 4 This f**king club 😂 That line up screams Beavis and butthead along with Egbali WTF is that!!
March 4Mar 4 I dont get why sanchez is benched. Sorensen is a terrible shot stopper and isnt even that great with his feet. its like the project is re starting because i recall Maresca doing the same after Sanchez howlers until he figured to play with Sanchez's strengths which are long passes..Gonna be a long watch tonight

March 4Mar 4 Can’t convince me he is a decent coach. You look at that bench, and it says a lot. 4 defenders, 2 DMs, and 2 CFs. He literally has Derry, Walsh, & Kavuma-McQueen in the u21s he could use as attacking options but nope, watch him bring on Lavia, Cucurella, and stick Delap at RW if we need a goal.P.S another defensive setup that haven’t played together, and we wonder why we lack cohesion.
March 4Mar 4 Gustos lips must be working overtime on the PE TEACHER, SD’s picking James in midfield instead of Lavia

March 4Mar 4 Author Great bench depth for our near 2bill spend.1 promising cb2 useless cbs1 good full back2 good dms 2 useless strikers Oh and a garbage goalkeeper starting. That will help Sanchez for the rest of the season

Santos is a deep lying midfielder, like Caicedo, like Lavia, and likely the other teenager CM.Enzo will never be dropped regardless of the manager and it's not because of owner pressure -- it's characteristics. Only way he's dropped is if the club fixes the unbalanced roster/midfield by signing players. Edited March 4Mar 4 by acaeus

March 4Mar 4 If we need a goal Delap and or Guiu would not be my striker options, our youth team players would surely offer more.I think we are gonna be in for more disappointment tonight. Edited March 4Mar 4 by OTL

His presence in the team/squad is a problem not because of his “characteristics” which is limited mind you, but because someone sanctioned a £105m fee for a player that can’t play the role he was signed for.
March 4Mar 4 Author Ah Rosenior has said he has no number 2 keeper and Jorgensen has really impressed in training.Wonder of that was from a script?

The issue is not the 2 CMs, but the centralized player in the 3. Cole is an attacker -- he can work hard under specific conditions for specific matches (like PSG), but he can't do that consistently in the PL. CAMs (or whatever you call that position) nowadays demands a player who can defend some -- almost like a CM; the closest we've got is Enzo.I also disagree that Enzo's characteristics are "limited." I think he's very rounded actually. He does lack skill esp in attacking positions, but that has more to do with the unbalanced roster than him IMO. Edited March 4Mar 4 by acaeus

March 4Mar 4 Villa must be delighted to see Jorgensen starting. I remember from last season his poor display contributed towards their 3 points in the same fixture.
