Caicedo is better at the defensive side of the game. Scott is better at progressing with the ball. Think of it being a bit like Kante and Kovacic.

That was a very, very good tandem. Thank you Scott.

I was going to say he reminds me a bit of Kovacic. Probably a better tackler with more pace.

That makes both the Palace and Bournemouth coaches to have catagorically stated their player will not be sold this window.

Scott and Wharton off the table, and there is 0 chance Arsenal sell us Zubimendi.

That combined with still no city offer adds more weight to Enzo likely to stay.

Said this from the beginning.

A few are also saying cities offer, should it come, will be far less than the 120mill minimum fee we set 2 weeks ago.

If true that would be just another effort to destabilize us.

We aren’t the ones desperately in need of a midfielder. Starting the season with only Anderson and a teenager is not going to end well. I say screw them to there self inflicted disaster.

I can see us selling Enzo and maybe looking for a loanee to cover until January. Maybe we will go back in for Wharton or Scott then.

Depends how desperate we get and how much money we throw at them I guess.

How old is he?

I doubt Bournemouth change their stance on him in January, few clubs do unless the player is in his last 6 months. Would take an offer larger than the Tonali fee to make them consider it, and we are not looking to pay that much, unless Bournemouth pay it back for one of our players I. E. What Villa did with Jackson.

Now next summer when he has 12 months left on his current deal Bournemouth would have to change their position, but we'd also have a lot more competition.

im not sold on Scott. Hes making all the headlines and think the hype is a little much. Hes certainly a good player, but he’s more Conor Gallagher to me than a midfield player that can take us to the next level.

If we sign him I hope this doesn’t age well, but I think there better options will emerge. Ditch the PL premium, go find a strong player from a competitive league.

He's better than Gallagher. There is more control to his game, Gallagher just plays on passion. I do think his performances are getting a bit overhyped though. I would take him, but he's not doing anything so out of this world that makes me think he is this must buy midfielder. We could shop around Europe and find plenty of Alex Scott's.

Much more skill than Gallagher. Conor was a terrier, a terrific trier.

On the back of this season, fully agree with this. He's been disappointing in the last two games, an important cog but not crucial to Bournemouth. Rogers, Rice, Anderson were clearly the best player in their team. He could have taken the game by the scruff of the neck against Newcastle, but really didn't.

Wharton also hasn't had the greatest start to the season.
