In a lot of cases if you hand in a transfer request, you forego your loyalty bonus when sold. So its just another mechanism that can be used

Tyler Adams is looking a strong possibility for United. Bournemouth have told Scott, and interested clubs, he is not for sale and won't be sold this window.

Bournemouth stance with Scott reminds me of how Benfica were with Enzo.

We have too many players and are incapable of conducting business professionally. There is no grandstanding to be made in sales, so Egbhali will come wading in waving his boy parts around when signings like Rogers happen, but selling players, nah he'll leave that to Harry Dunne Lloyd fking Christmas to sort out. Hence why we can't sell anyone, cos dumb and dumber bought them in to start with at over inflated fees and salaries.

£90m? Blimey. It must be me but I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Tidy player but for £90m I'd expect a bit more tbh.

Wharton, but I like Scott.

Scott but I like Wharton. I see Scott as more dynamic but Wharton is the better passer imo

I prefer Wharton but do like Scott.

Different players IMO, Wharton is the passer and tempo controller and Scott is the all action box to box midfielder.

Ironically I see a bit of Alonso in Wharton.

I feel that Palace have said to Chelsea no chance of Wharton this late in the window and Bournemouth have said publicy no but if there is a crazy bid we'll listen.

If I had to put money on it I would probably say that neither of these will happen and Alonso will go get Camavinga. Problem there of course is the injury record.

Both Wharton and Scott are very good. Wharton has the most eye catching moments because his forward passing is possibly the best in the league, but there are question marks about his off the ball game. From what I have seen, he's not really involved much off the ball.

Scott's close control of the ball and driving through midfield are his biggest strengths, but he offers a lot off the ball too. Caicedo doing the dirty work and moving the ball onto Scott to drive up the pitch and connect with our attackers could really benefit us. But at the same time, we have a similar profile of player in Lavia, he just can't stay fit.

I really do like Wharton, it's very hard to accept another team signing him with his passing ability, but I just don't see Palace selling him this season, and with Enzo likely leaving, we need a replacement. The fact that we keep bidding for Scott tells me they feel that Bournemouth are more open to selling than Palace.

I am pretty sure Camavinga was out of favour at Madrid while Alonso was there. Although some of that may have been injury related.

You're right on both counts I think. Certainly Tchouameni held the position. Then there was the punch up. I have just seen a few puff pieces centred around Scott and Wharton and Camavinga always seems to be third choice on the lists.

From your descriptions Scott seems to have a similar game to Caicedo then. Would they be a like for like partnership?

Caicedo is better at the defensive side of the game. Scott is better at progressing with the ball. Think of it being a bit like Kante and Kovacic.
