Pre season games are what they are. But who I feel sorry for though are the fans in the US, Hong Kong or Australia etc. They wait years to see Chelsea in the flesh, probably pay good money and then get kids who’ll never see the PL and 94 substitutions in the second half.

The same applies for the A-League teams here, since the season starts after the PL lol. At least the Asian leagues and the MLS are mid-season and the players can get a decently competitive run out.

Bosnich came to London to snort coke and f**k models. The few memories he has of his time at Chelsea are pretty good, I'd imagine

One can but dream.

Have attached various pics of the game.

The man on the left needs no introduction; the man on the right (Mark Bosnich) surprised me, given that his time at Chelsea ended acrimoniously. He clearly doesn't really hold it against the club.

That's Bosnich?! I had not recognised him at all.

Yeah, it's definitely him.

The announcer referred to him as "Boz" (Bosnich's nickname), and referred to him recently having had surgery (which he needed after injuring his knee while playing goalkeeper). Plus, the announcer referred to him winning the Premier League beforehand (which he did with Man U).

I was honestly surprised that he of all people showed up, given his history with the club.

Bosnich does a lot of punditry in Australia. I've never heard him say a bad word about us.

From what I heard, he cleaned up his act after retirement.

If you're leaving London to try and get out of a cocaine habit, Sydney is probably the last place on Earth you'd want to go.

I've met and heard Bosnich speak a few times, he is very entertaining and candid. He is also one of the more genuine people you meet on that circuit in that he is quick to point out while many consider him to be a 'failure', he undestands he was very fortunate to have the life he did, for doing nothing much at all. It's actually a pretty refreshing perspective compared to many footballers for whom earning "only" 50k a week is an apparent insult.

Coke was the least of the problems on the lower north shore.
