Posted April 8, 200816 yr Seeing as our game against Everton has been moved/butchered to a Thursday,I took up the chance to go along with my Millwall mates to the new den. They are playing Le*ds on the 19th and I'm really looking forward to giving the scum of Yorkshire some stick!! Ever been to a game as a neutral?? Although I can assure you that I wont be going as a neutral..........WE ALL HATE LE*DS!!
April 8, 200816 yr Was offered a corporate freebie to watch Arsenal v Liverpool at the weekend, thanks but no thanks, said I'd rather watch Chelsea on ceefax! Millwall is the only club I've been to as a 'non-supporter. ' (excluding Fisher Athletic which are non league). A mate of mine has a box down there and I've 'jibbed in' for a few games over the years. Watched them play Northampton earlier this season. The football was dire but the crowd remind's me of Chelsea when I first started going over the bridge. Rough and ready and real, not a suede pair of loafers or barbour jacket in sight, or anyone called Miles for that matter Enjoy the banter down there mate, there's plenty of it to go round. Watch yourself for the Leeds game though, will be a heavy old bill presence and I know a few of the 'wall fans are right up for it, Leeds may need to win to make the play-off's and Millwall are playing for survival so there's alot at stake.
April 8, 200816 yr Went to the Milan V Juve Champions League Final at OT a few years ago. Always had a bit of a soft spot for AC since the days of Gullit, Van Basten, Baresi etc. Had a top quality seats. Roy Keane was sitting a few seats along.
April 8, 200816 yr I'll have to think about this one. I was at the Sunderland v Leeds FA Cup Final, but I wasn't exactly neutral I went to Orient a couple of times when we weren't playing, with Chelsea supporting friends from Barnes and Mortlake who used to live in Leytonstone. Went to Fulham a few times, again when we weren't playing. Got nicked for obstructing the Old Bill once for refusing to go along with another lot of Chelsea fans who'd just been turfed out of the other end. "Leave it out, I'm nothing to do with that lot" - "you're nicked you stroppy tall bar steward". Everton v Arsenal in the FA Cup - no excuse for this except that I was completely skint. We were playing Southampton away, and some of my Arsenal supporting mates had a spare ticket, so I went up with a carload of them. The bar steward driver left us up there - stranded in Liverpool! Fortunately we managed to sneak back on the Arse football special. Of course I was recognised: "what the f**k are you doing here Lofty?" but I was ok. And as far as I can remember, that's about it.
April 8, 200816 yr Been to so many games as a nuetral, mostly London derby's. Millwall v Palace , Arsenal V Spurs. Even went away a few times, one particularly good weekend away was Plymouth v West Ham. Last game was just the other week, WBA v Palace 1-1 and what a pile of sh*te it was.
April 8, 200816 yr Ok, you're gonna murder me now, but I've been to see Liverpool around 2001 when they played UCL qualifiers against a Finnish team. You know...we don't get too many big teams coming here to play, so it was kind of a big deal for footy fans in Finland, even if you weren't a Liverpool fan. And I have to say I didn't hate them that much at the time and they had Litmanen playing for them at the time and Hyypiä when he was still one of the best Premiership defenders. It was a weird match to watch, because I knew the Finnish club had less than a snowball's chance in hell to cause any sort of upset, but I secretly wished they could cause them some problems, even if the Finnish club(FC Haka) that was playing Liverpool was the local derby rival of my local team(Tampere United). Any progress for Finnish club football would be a great thing, so you kind of forget these local rivalries when Finnish club's go to play in Europe. Pretty much everyone was getting behind HJK when they were the first and so far the only Finnish club to play in UCL group stages. I had high hopes for Tampere United for this season, because they had been playing REALLY well up until the final qualifying round in which they met Rosenborg. I bet we would've been slaughtered had we qualified for group stages and had we been drawn into the same group with Chelsea in place of Rosenborg. I don't know how I would've dealt with having to watch Tampere against Chelsea. That would be just too weird...
April 8, 200816 yr Been offered a ticket for the Manure - West Ham game not sure whether to go or not, can't make up my mind who I hate the most.

Ever been to a game as a neutral?? Although I can assure you that I wont be going as a neutral..........WE ALL HATE LE*DS!! Me,Nicky & Scott are going too Nicky (my best mate) is a Millwall fan ~ In fact his dad up until last year was the director of the U19's for 25 years! We've been doing Millwall & Chelsea together home & away for the last 28! YES 28! years! Being as young as I am now 40! & all the different mates I've got as a neutral I've done loads inc Palace Vs well nigh on everyone Palace Vs Leeds Palace Vs Brighton Loads of S8purs Vs Le Arse Even done a WHU vs Spurs It's a great giggle ~ But you have to be careful! Especially at Millwall! (Mind you ain't like it was)
April 8, 200816 yr My whole family bar me are Palace fans and ive been to loads of games at Selhurst Park down the years. In fact the best/most exciting game i have ever been to was the Cup semi final of 1990 - Palace 4 - Liverpool 3 at Villa Park. I was there when Palace got promoted against Blackburn in 89 and my old man got nicked!
April 8, 200816 yr Went to some UEFA Cup match of Feyenoord. My loved one at the time got VIP tickets. I was bored out of my skull: no singing, just a few soft, polite handclaps after a goal, and worst of all, hardly any free drinks.
April 9, 200816 yr Hendon FC against Leyton Orient about 8 years ago an early FA cup round - a 2-2 draw. Argentina v Yugoslavia at Florence quarter final of the World Cup 1990 in Florence. Great game sat with loads of slavs, slagged off the Argies, Maradonna missed a penalty, the whole Argie team left the pitch at one point after an arguement with the ref, game went to ET and pens but the Argies won. Everton v Manks FA cup final about 1983 or 4. very odd going to a game where you don't give a rat's a#se who wins.

April 9, 200816 yr I went to see Villa vs Middlesbrough last month in the Villa end, and ended up (quietly!) supporting Middlesbrough by the end. I've been to a few others in the past, mostly Newcastle/Villa games but I can't remember an awful lot about them
April 9, 200816 yr i have been known to go and watch port vale on the odd occasion (usually when i've been given a few free tickets
April 9, 200816 yr I've went to see Real Madrid Vs Athletico Madrid about 10 years ago and witnessed the Galaticos playing absolute sh*te. I've been to many games as a neutral but there was one game I had to stay neutral for my own safety, it was Millwall Vs Chelsea at the old den around 1990. I was in the Millwall end.
April 10, 200816 yr Real Madrid against Roma. Saw Zidane and Roberto Carlos. Zidane is like no player I have ever seen live!! It was a pre-season friendly, but a good one nonetheless, even though the fans booed after it ending a draw!
April 10, 200816 yr Had a top quality seats. Roy Keane was sitting a few seats along. Couldn't have been that top quality then.
April 10, 200816 yr Went to watch many a Mallorca home game back in the 60's and 70's when they were in the third tier of the league at their old stadium. They used to give out cushions as you entered so you could sit on the concrete concourse. Needless to say most of the cushions ended up on the pitch because they really were absolute sh*t back then. Also had an eye opening experience in Malta in the 70's. Basically because of the small size of the island they were holding two league games on the same day in the same stadium so there was me and the old man surrounded by four different sets of supporters wit no segregation whatsoever. It actually became one of the most frightening experiences I've ever had at a football ground when they all started kicking off at each other. More recently I've been to a couple of Rushden & Diamonds games as the stadium is only 3 miles from where I now live.

Ever been to a game as a neutral?? Although I can assure you that I wont be going as a neutral..........WE ALL HATE LE*DS!! Rob, can you get anymore tickets for this game, been trying everywhere to get 2, my brother in law is a Millwall fan and i was going to go along (first time mind you).
April 19, 200816 yr Author Sorry mate I cant,I would if I could. Thing is it never was on general sale. I got mine off of MEMBER/SEASON TICKET HOLDERS. The Met Police are seriosly worried about this game and instructed the club NOT to sell any tickets to non-members,I was quite lucky to get one my self. Where I live Millwall is one of the biggest supported teams and I have taken a few of these lads to the bridge so I asked them if they could return the favour, seeing as we had a free weekend. Sorry benny mate. Rob
April 19, 200816 yr I was luckily enough to go to the Espanyol/Barca derby... last season?! I can't even remember, but Espanyol won 3-1 and it was quite a big party that night. Espanyol are my "second team" so to speak, always follow their results [mainly because we have a Villa in the Costa Brava region and you either support them or Barcelona, I opted for the former, as did my dad ] and was gutted when they lost the UEFA cup... again was it last season?! Who knows, who remembers?! Not me. Aaaaanywho, guess I wasn't a neatral, but it's the only game I've been to out of England. I always tend to want someone to win.
April 20, 200816 yr You have a villa in the Costa Brava ? And do you have a brother as well? If not, can I be your new best friend (dump Elen)?
April 20, 200816 yr I do have a brother Valerie, and we can be GREAT friends... but y'know mine and Elen's bond, it just can't be ditched like that, it's special.
April 21, 200816 yr Does Elen feel the same way? You know, when the Lampards move to Spain, she may drop you like a stone. Don't say I didn't warn you! Now, about your brother.... is he as cute as Liam's brother? And tell us more about the villa.
