An award for 'Jose's Steam' - well well, Fergie will be annoyed to have lost out to a man who left his job 8 months ago.

clap2.gif to Avram - to a man who is defying all expectations and making people forget their original expectations and revising them so they can still want him sacked!!

He deserves it. I actually think he should be in the running for manager of the year (on team's results; I'm still not convinced he has full control behind the scenes as crazy as that sounds).

Cheers,

Butch

I agree that he deserves it chelsea are the club in best form right now in the world i think.

I heard a stat on t.v. that chelsea have the best record in the pl since the first man united game, so given all the turmoil around that time grant has done extremely well.

It was good to see how well he was received on the post match walkabout. He was shaking hands with the fans and was applauded loudly all around the ground. At one point he stopped and took one of the big flags that they have recently started waving pitchside. He also appeared to be waving to Roman in his box. Roman looked pretty happy from the shots on the big screen after the game.

I don't suppose this will be reported in todays media but it's worth noting for next time they come up with how badly the fans treat him.

It was reported in the press today.

Although if they want to see him treated badly they only need to come on here.

If they did report it then I am pleased and unreservedly apologise to the press for my foul slur.

As for treating him badly, I didn't mean criticising him. I meant the anti semitic stuff that gets mentioned a lot. I don't see any of that on here.

You didn't read the thread about Yom Kippur then?

I thought I had better read the thread.

There are some comments that could be construed as anti semitic but I would still stand by my earlier comment that by far the bulk of the criticism of Grant on these forums has not been.

Sounds a little like the kind of excuse for racism as "don't get me wrong' date=' some of my best friends are black" to me.[/size']

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. 300.gif

I made a comment about not seeing anti semitic abuse of Grant on here and you quite reasonably pointed me towards a thread - which I hadn't previously read - where there was some. I have accepted that.

How you can make the leap from what I said to what you have written is beyond me. I'm not in anyway condoning or excusing anti semitism or any other form of racism and I don't think anything I've written even remotely suggests that I do.

I don't see any anti semitic in that thread, just anger Avram put his religion over his job in that very early stage of taking it on. I guess that could be taken as an attack if whoever reading it, wants it to be.

If any anti semitic content can been seen in there, it's no worse than other minor racism seen elsewhere on the forum inc. Anti-British, Anti-Catholic, etc.
