It's always the case with lits, you are reading one persons opinnions and meant to agree with them. The fact that the doors are in there, is absolutely stupid! The fact that Bolton and Starship are in there seems justified. Iron Butterfly being in there, for one song, is beyond questionable.

Arrested Development, great TV show, as a band were very opinionated, but for a Black American band at that time, it was their way of being heard. The Digable Planets, Tribe Called Quest, and even Public enemy were as equally opinionated, but they are not even mentioned!

Not a bad list, but think there are things put in there just to be a c*nt!

The Doors should leave the list to make way for Lionel Ritchie and/or Barry Minlow.

Why aren't the Worzels on that list? Or the Bachelors? Or my local village band? Why, why, why?

I love "Two Princes" by The Spin Doctors... but Celine Dion? Now they're just being silly... not my cup of tea but she's hardly bad, wouldn't have sold the millions of records she has if she was.

Power ballads = long shiny trench coats, ridiculous perms, clenched fists and shut eyes when singing, dry ice, CBS, over-production, too many chords, inane lyrics, standing alone in a desert and being filmed by a speeding helicopter, too poncey to be hetero blokes - to uncool to be gay, women who look like poodles, spandex, yellow frilly blouses and a whole lot more that we should shudder to recall.
