Being cautious I agree with to an extent... but can we be so cautious that we risk losing out on CL next year?

You never know,but what if barca of real knocks on his door in the summer?(maybe at that he would only play in premier league or  primera division )

But we have to remember that the guy is a uncut diamond!
He can be the star of the premier league but first we have to adjust his character a little bit and adapt him to Chelsea.

Now with KDB in we are one winger short of a formidable Belgian front three that looks really good:

Kevin De Bruyne----Romelu Lukaku----Eden Hazard

This lineup could also be a boost for team Belgium in future cup's. It is only common sense to think those three are going to find each other on the pitch.

Hope we can seal the deal in the summer. Many of his young countrymen are already playing for us.

As a rule, Mancini wants EVERYONE.  I wouldn't read too much into it.

We scouted him 20 times? Funny we haven't made an official move after that, I don't think you need to watch him in person 20 times to realise he's what we are missing right now. If we miss out on the CL, we have about no chance to sign him. Had we signed him, surely he would have helped in that regard

Have you ever been a part of a major clubs scouting network? No me neither, so we dont really know how many times players are scouted. Its a massive amount of money to spend so they would need to be as sure as they can possibly be that he is the right kind of player. I would rather they scout a player 100 times than twice and get it right.

Im assuming you mean English Premier League. And if so, and you want him tried and tested in the EPL before we buy him then you have just added another 15-20 Million to what we would have to Pay LIlle to get him now.

And like the pictures above (on page 1) of him and Lukaku show, I genuinely think that having such a strong Belgian contingent in our ranks already (Lukaku, Courtois, de bruyne) can only be a benefit and a massive pull to any young lad thinking of moving to a foreign country to ply his trade. Less likely to feel homesick that way i'd think.

The overall consensus of all the different threads on this site at the moment tend to come back to the same general feeling, We need to be more creative as teams have worked us out.

This is very much a transitional period and we are kind of stuck in limbo at the moment. In previous years when we were not technically at our best, we have still had the brute force to push through teams with our direct play and some very physically strong players. Now we are trying to play creative and attractive football, we have s squad that has not been built for this.

Now I am not critisicing any players in particular because I think all of them would love to play football like barcelona (and even the gooners on their day) but unfortunately a lot of these players have a different skill set. It takes time, and as some leave and new faces come in then we will turn the corner and become more creative.

My only concern is our transfer policy. AVB has a goal in mind, he has players in mind to make that system work but he works for a club that has a tendancy to buy players it thinks are right, rather than the manager wants.

Its Abramovich's club at the end of the day and you can call me niave but I think everyone at the club that makes a decision, makes it belieiving it is in the best interest of the club. Just sometimes you can hav too many cooks in the kitchen all with their own views of the best wat to get from A to B
