  1. Past hour

  2. Ironically, Caicedo first came to fame by single-handedly destroying Arsenal while playing as an inverted RB for Brighton

  4. But with the thick English accents only other English can understand (I certainly cannot understand what they sing in the stands 95% of the time), he will not even notice it.
  5. The silence is deafening, but they’ve no reason to come out and make any comment on his condition - especially when the transfer window was still open. Trying to stay optimistic that he was being very cautious, took it upon himself to call it and walked off without any help. Hopefully back after international break.
  6. The logical thing to do would be recall Essugo - if anything for a little athletic depth.

  8. This deal apparently is a no go but depending on their injury status, Zinchenko, Brozovic and Alaba would all be very good fits for Alonso's system.
  9. I've always thought that City fans have more of a rivalry towards us than we have to them. As a millennial, PL-era, Australian fan: 3 - Arsenal - grew up watching us get turned over by them. Bridge's CL semi goal was a truly transformative moment. 2 - Liverpool - unfortunately the most supported club in Australia by some distance. Their success in the 1980s was widely covered here due to Craig Johnstone's involvement, then Kewell in the 00s coincided with another wave of relative success. Can't go anywhere in Sydney without seeing some Scousetralian full-kit w**ker.. 1 - Spurs - Inexplicably massive support in Australia. Virtually every second English ex-pat here supports Tottenham; I suppose that's why you kicked them out. When Postecoglou took over the situation was nauseating, couldn't go anywhere without some screen showing his fat mug or their disgusting jersey. But the main problem is their fans and their club are unceasingly arrogant, despite the club's trophy cabinet being emptier than @PloKoon13 Little Black Book of late. Spurs hold themselves in a category that has nothing to do with their achievements on the pitch, entirely underwritten by commercially-derived money. They are no different to Chelsea or City for that matter, other than we have trophies to show for it.

  12. Our left side has been an issue, so need to make changes there I feel. Also need players in their natural roles. Martinez James Acheampong Lacroix Hato Chavarria Lavia Barco Palmer Joao Pedro Rogers If Caicedo can play then put him in place of Barco. James as a defensive wing back. Width from deep, we know he can cross or pass a ball in a penny, let him do that while keeping our right side strong.
  13. Leeds.

  15. I enjoyed the first season but I struggle with season 2.
  16. How's he looking? Thin? In shape? 😅 I mean in terms of characteristics, he'd make an ideal partner for Caicedo.
  17. We better not do something idiotic like bringing in Pogba on a free
  18. I really don’t understand why we loaned Essugo out..or don’t recall him

  22. I am a bit confused by this. Isn't the deficit you are detailing here purely the spend but not taking into account the assets purchased and the current value of those. With the players that we have recently purchased and the approximate book value of established players such as Palmer, Pedro, Caicedo and possibly Neto, there is probably £500 million there. That's without the existing book value and possibly pipeline value of players such as Estevao Willian, Quenda, and a number of the other youngsters. I get what you are saying and looking through one lens it doesn't paint a good picture but we are lucky that the club operate in a bonkers market. Can i see a scenario where Tottenham pay £75m or more for Mudryk next year. Absolutely.

  27. Definitely not pretty and convincing but got the win. Now for Motherwell at Ibrox on Saturday. WATP
  28. Oh, the Radio commentator said he's just come off to a standing ovation from the fans..
  29. Arsenal then Liverpool for me. Liverpool are just an entitled horrible club always the victim, they don’t even see themselves as English. Arsenal - their fans have been unbearable lately - you’d think they’d won the league 3 years on the trot the way they carry on. Let’s not forget just a few months ago they was boasting they would win all 4 trophies. And then there’s that annoying Arteta…. Spurs of course, but TBH I just find them comedy value but I really wanted them to get relegated last season. I used to be ok with Man City but with them having the two Enzo’s now and how they both carried on they are a club I’ll be keeping a keen eye on.
  30. I understand he's been looking good ? For him to start anyway at his age is a great achievement for the lad , I hope we see him at the Bridge sooner rather than later, How's he doing tonight?
  31. Get in there. Fine finish from Shankland.
  32. Do we actually get " instant cash" from sales? Aren't payments spread out in installments? Whatever we do this window, we are still on nearly or over a £700 million net deficit spend on transfers with this ownership. From where we were when they bought us, that spending should have cemented us as a real force in football. Shame, it could/should have been so much better than it turned out.
  33. I think he’s the most disliked player in the league now. He’ll get abuse at most grounds this season for loads of different reasons.
  34. Got lucky there. Sloppy from Fernandez. Saved by a poor strike from the Falkirk player.
  35. Will forever be funny, will forever be nothing more than an expensive whore
